Anterior Placenta - Anyone else?

My placenta is in the front, and that limits the feeling of baby`s movements. I see him kick and squirm on u/s, but I don`t feel it even though I am seeing it. I DO feel movement everyday, so I guess maybe this is him when he rolls over? Just wondering if anyone else has an anterior placenta and how it feels for you?

mommy-of-3 - 181 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I have heard this from other moms who are in the same situation and it sounds like what you are saying is normal. As long as you are feeling something everyday I wouldn't worry. :)

Darianna - 185 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) Hi: I have my son to be laying on my placenta right now, and he is looking like the baby on my page, with the butt up in the air, and his face is right in the placenta, or it was on the sono.. I have him right in my Cervix area, all the way down!! He kicks and moves all the time Only I only fell the real hard ones, In fact I have to have sono grams every week now to check on him!! SO it is normal, and try to drink about 1/2 a gallon of water a day,and he/she will move!! Good Luck! Congrats!

kater - 185 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) i have an anterior placenta and i tend to feel the movements lower down, near my crotch, plus a lot of rolling movements. like others have said, its like all the movements are cushioned, and my husband has a lot of trouble feeling any movements. as i have gotten further along though, i feel more and more

Carmione - 185 days ago Rating: 5 (1 votes) I have one as well. It's like having the kicks rolls and punches cushioned. Unless baby girl gets off to the side it's more like a nudge than a bump, punch or poke. The further along we go, it doesn't really seem to matter much anymore anyways- she's getting stronger and so are the moves. She's running out of room so now it's more jerky movements rather than fluid motion. I thought something was wrong when they said my placenta was anterior...the only thing that would be of concern would be if a C-section were called for-there could be a slight chance of a higher amount of blood loss- but nothing to get excited worried over. Hope this helped some.

lizzie287 - 185 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I have an anterior placenta. I'm 25 weeks and I just finally felt my baby's kicks on the outside of my belly yesterday. I feel her move all the time, like you said, but for the most part what I feel is I think her rolling - doesn't feel like jabs, but it feels like something is pulling on the inside of my uterus lol
