Okay so some people must think im so idiotic for doing this but it is my choice. well anyways I have a new born baby girl of 3months and in the last 3/4 weeks iv had unprotected over 3 times id say and i just want to know what the chances are of me getting pregnant i am not trying, i am just going to take it as it comes. so really want to no if ur more fertile after birth. cause iv been told you are, but i have been havin unprotected sex since i gave birth and have had two sets of periods. if that makes any sense

I have heard that sometimes it can take a lot longer to get pregnant if you are so maybe that's what has kept you from getting pregnant again. I would suggest some type of birth control at least for a few months because it's really tough on your body to get pregnant right away again if you do.

My son was born November 8, 2007 and here I am April 12, 2008 at 16+ weeks meaning my son will only be 10 or 10 1/2 months old when this one is born!! hollienjax - 103 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) It just depends on your cycle. With you having had periods, I would think that your cycle is back to normal but it's hard to tell. I don't think you are any more fertile after you have a baby than any other time but I'm not sure about that.

jade - 104 days ago id say trying is. having sex all the time hopeing for the outcome of pregnacy im just having sex when i feel it. took me 3 years to get preggers with summer. think it may be the same next time around thanks for the concerns

Its very important for your body to heal after having a baby. A girl I know had a baby last May and got pregnant a month later and now is on strict bedrest for not letting her body heal. There's a lot of risk.

captshelley - 104 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) It's more about the infection it will cause because your uterus is open. Then if you do get pregnant with an infection it could be damaging and painful. Girl if your not using protection then you ARE trying to get pregnant.

This means that you are your babies only source of food, your baby recieves no bottles, pacifiers, solid foods, etc, and you have not had a regular cycle since having the baby. mattie4 - 104 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) yes it is possible to get preggers right after having a baby, and yes most are more fertile after having had a baby. Many dr.s prefer that you wait and give your body time to heal and get over having the first, but many mommies want to get pregnant right away so that their babies will be close in age. I have also been told that when breastfeeding this is a natural birthcontrol, but to take the mini pill while doing so b/c it isnt fool proof. my sister is one that can attest to that, lol. Anyhow, if you are not wanting to get preggers again anytime soon, i would highly suggest you take precautions to not do so, and if you do want to get preggers again, then well continue on your way :).

I have read stories myself that say once you've been pregnant, the easier it is for you to get pregnant again. I'm not sure how true that is as everyone is different- I do know for sure that once you have twins, the chances of you having another set almost double. I know that was off topic, but I couldn't help it.

Laura Ward - 104 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) Because your hormones are still out of control, you are more likely to get pregnant after having a baby. If you are having a period, then you are ovulating. If you are ovulating, then you can conceive if you are having sex (protected or not). Your body is probably not ready to handle another pregnancy so soon and your best option would be to get on some form of birth control or make sure that your partner is using protection. Good luck!

You should at least try to not have unprotected sex right around when you're ovulating, though that's not a guarantee that you won't get pregnant anyway. It's not that you're idiotic, I just think that you need to give your body more time to heal before you have another baby.

Holly28 - 105 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I don't know about whether or not you are more fertile after giving birth but I do know from experience IT ONLY TAKES ONCE UNPROTECTED! My b/f and I conceived our FIRST time unprotected. Sounds to me like if you are having unprotected sex then there is a good chance you will get pregnant. Maybe something like an IUD would be a good option for you. That is what I am doing after this baby is born. Then, I am protected but don't have to think about it
