If in doubt, just ask your doctor. The more busy you are the less you'll notice ... my kids were really active at night time the most.

I got nervous about the same thingg...one day he was really hyper then for the next week I felt nothing! I read it depends on your activity level. The busy you are the less he moves because all the movement soothes the baby and then when you finally sit down and relax he wakes up, but by then yuo're probably sleeping and won't feel it anyways!

In the early stages when you very first begin to feel baby move there is no real pattern or set amount of movement that you need to watch for. You might feel the first kick on a Monday and not feel anything again until Monday the following week. It all depends on what you are doing, how active the baby is, etc. Especially if this is your first pregnancy the movment tends to take a little longer to feel on a regular basis. I'm sure you're just fine but when it doubt ask your doctor. Good luck.:)

HI:
are you having your first baby? IF so then this is normal for the uturs is not as thin as say on the fourth or fifth in which your uturs is not as thick so keep that in mind!! Also it depends on how tiny you are, as
I am only 100 lbs naturally, I feel it sooner and longer!!
With my daughter I was only at 12 weeks and my son now It started at only 10 weeks!!
SO everyone is different!!

It is completely normal not to feel the baby move all of the time! It is not important to start kick counting until you're 28 weeks. The baby is still so small, you will only feel the movements every once in a while. The good news is that since you started feeling movements now, you will start to feel them more often!! Congrats to you!!

it's COMPLETELY NORMAL. I'll have a twitch and then nothing for a couple days, basically your baby is so small that it has to be in just the right place for you to feel it.

Its quite normal, you will start felling the little kicks and flips more regularly in the next days and weeks. Enjoy and dont worry the breath taking kicks will come soon enough. All the best!

Both paranoia and your baby's level of movement are normal. That's exciting that you've felt your first kick and more will come later.

right now your baby is almost constantly moving yet you wont feel every move. Once baby becomes more coordinated and bigger, the more frequent and stronger the kicks and punches will get. Around 20 weeks or so, the movements aren't going to be so fluid and more "jerky" as the baby is running out of room to do sommersaults. I feel more punches and hiccups than I do kicks though, but who knows what they really are unless you're looking at a live ultrasound...

My doctor says that some might not feel significant movement until around 24 weeks. Size and placenta location and if this is your first baby could also be a factor. Thinner people might feel a little sooner, anterior placenta (in the front) can cushion the baby's kicks to where you don't feel them, and they say it takes longer to feel with your first baby. I was thinner, so typically I would feel baby a little sooner, but I have the anterior placenta, so I don't feel when he kicks. (I see him kick and move on the u/s, but don't feel it at all!) I DO feel movement when he rolls or flips, so that is a plus! It's not a jabbing or kicking feeling, more like a nudging or pushing.

You probably won't feel regular movements until baby is a little bigger- although he/she moves quite alot!

It is very normal to be paranoid, with all the different things to worry about in pregnancy. I wouldn't worry about this one though. Once your first begin to feel the baby move the feeling will not be regular. You may feel a few one day and nothing for a day or two. That is why the Dr. wont ask you to do a fetal kick count until you are furhter along and it becomes more regular.

While it can be nerveracking and make your worried, it is very normal to only feel occasioanl movements during the early fetal kick stage. The first movements often go unnoticed and then you will feel only a faint movement every other day or two or three... As the baby grows and becomes stronger, those flutters will turn into full jabs and kicks! Right now, you can not get an accurate fetal kick count because there are many things that interfere with movement this early on. The baby's position, the placena's position, your weight, Your baby's size, your perceptiveness and activity at the time, ect... Try not to worry or become consumed with feeling the next movement. IF you truly are worried and something just does not feel right, listen to your body and call your doctor. Hearing the heartbeat can definitely be reassuring! BEst wishes.

Don't worry, at this stage you will only feel the odd movement, especially with your first one. After week 24 you should start to feel them much more often, also the dr's will want you to do a kick count if you haven't felt much movement- that's were you lie down for a hour and count the movements, you should feel between 6-10 kicks/moves in the hour to reassure you that everything is ok, if not the drs will check you over. Hope this helps. All the best. xx
