i am 80% thin out and been contracting for 3 days and i am not due till may 7 will i have him soon

totallykatalicious - 83 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) Anything is possible, but I've had BH's since like 36 weeks and I had my baby boy at 39 weeks 4 days

Debra - 85 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) Braxton Hicks Contractions: Can be very strong and painful at times! They occur more when you are dehydrated as your uterus is actually irritated from the lack of water in your system and contracts in response. IF you have these very frequently, drink water and see if they go away. However, Braxton hicks contractions do train your uterus for labour and prepare baby for the upcoming show. Dilation and Effaced: This can happen weeks before you are actually going to go into labour. My midwife never bothered to tell me how i was doing in this regards and i was thankful to her for two reasons. #1- Getting a vaginal check is very uncomfortable. I hated her doing it when i was in labour and she kept it down to 3 times. THat was enough and towards the end of my labour, the check was more painful than the actual contractions and i needed the gas to just get through it. #2. You can be dilated for weeks before you go into labour- most women are. However, if you know you are dilated, you get more excited that you will go into labour and stick around the house. My midwife knew lots of women who would sit around the house for weeks because they were dilated and thought they would go into labour at any given time. This just creates anxiety and more stress is bad for you. Loosing your mucous plug: I lost only a bit of mine. It was exactly that- mucous. It looked like snot from my nose does and I noticed it when i wiped after going to the bathroom a couple of days before labour. When I actually was in labour, more came out at a time and there was blood when i wiped as well. This was the 'bloody show' according to my midwife. This started 3 days or so before i went into labour. YOur answer: only God knows when you will go into labour. I thought i would go early as my mom and sister were all early with their kids. 6 days late, I went into labour naturally.

jah-baby - 87 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) maybe..are the contractions painful..u should definetly check with the doctor to be on the safe side and drink lots of water to help stop the contractions

mommy-of-3 - 87 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) Hmm.. it's always possible, especially if you've been contracting for 3 days. Are you sure it's not braxton hicks?

mzmommy2b - 88 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) Sounds like it to me! Goodluck!

christen - 89 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) that is a big possibility....it could be braxton hicks though

LMO - 89 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) you could go into labor you never know or you could just go full term that isnt too far away.

goonieMomma - 89 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) First delivery? Nope. I've in fact told my dr. I don't want to know my "stats" for this reason. My sister was 70% effaced for about a month! Even had her membranes swept... still 2 weeks until the big day! Don't push it (no pun intended) but go take a ton of long walks (take your cell w/ you!) if you want to get things moving. Gravity ROCKS!

ttasha - 89 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) my honest opinion would be i dont know because its true they can come two weeks before your due date or 2 weeks after. My baby came 12 days after his due date

momofboys - 89 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I have no idea but if I were you I would go for a LONG walk and walk as fast as I could and hope that it helps!

Mommyof2boys - 89 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) They said babies can come 2 weeks early or 2 weeks late, you might be 2 weeks early. Depending on how close your contractions are you could go at any time but you could also stay 80% for a couple weeks and nothing happen, just keep a watch out for your water breaking or leaking.

candace3 - 89 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I wouldn't think you would make it all the way to your due date.

2ndxmommy!! - 89 days ago Rating: 5 (1 votes) well being your sister and knowing you have already went into preterm labor!!...then I think that you will go in the next week or so but who knows!!! CANT WAIT THO TOOO EXCITED!!

Carmione - 89 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) Pregnancy progresses differently for us all. You could very well go into labor soon, but there's really no definite way to determine yea or nay. I bet you're eager, or maybe even a bit worried-but all in due time! Our babies like to keep us guessing.

mattie4 - 89 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) its a toss up, honestly you can have contractions for months with out them doing anything (b.h.). With that said, since you are thinning, it looks as though you have something going on :). Your Cervix is "ripening" and well with a ripe cervix a baby is sure to come :). Good luck

Brandi J. - 89 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) It is possible that you will go into labor soon, but then again your little one may decide to stay put until after your due date!! It is hard to know what those little fellows are thinking! Good luck to you and congrats!

babigirl82 - 89 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) You could stay 80% well past your due date, it is so hard to tell and no one really knows when you might deliver. Just watch and time your contractions 3-5 min you should go to the hospital or call your OB. Good luck..

CourtneyR26 - 89 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) Its possible but if your contractions are spred out then its probly false labor but if you can time them and there 3-5 min apart then that is labor.
