I am now 37 weeks, but for weeks now everytime I go to lay down on my left side with a pillow between my legs.. I cant stand the pain I get in my Right Hip though, which is weird to me because I haven`t put any pressure on it... anybody else experiencing this??? I don`t think Sciatica (sp?) because I heard that hurts ALL the time, this just mainly hurts when I lay down in bed on the left side... anyone else???

Brandi J. - 178 days ago Rating: 5 (1 votes) It is most likely due to your hips seperating to prepare for delivery. This is also what causes "waddling".

slnkl - 183 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) i was told its your sciatic nerve. i had the same thing during pregnancy too and i still get it, only its on my left side.

lulizzle - 184 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) If it hurts in your butt on the same side at the same time it is probably your sciatica nerve. I experienced the same thing after sitting down for long periods of time...sometimes it hurt so bad I couldn't walk or stand on that side.

captshelley - 184 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) Your baby is probably laying on something. All your guts are squished together and shifted to different places.

mommy-of-3 - 184 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I have had this with every pregnancy and I know how painful it can be at the very end. It is basically all the added weight from the baby that is putting pressure on your hips.

candace3 - 184 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I would think it is normal due to the weight and pressure of the baby. The end is in sight...just a few more weeks. Tylenol or a warm compress might help.

Darianna - 184 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I say that it is called: http://www.medicinenet.com/sciatica/article.htm Also you could be having your muscles pulling and stretching to to get ready for labor!! Go and try to learn how to remidies to over come the pain!!

mzmommy2b - 185 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) It could be your pelvis spreading apart, or it could be sciatica (SP) when the baby lays on your sciatic nerve

Laura Ward - 185 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) Your pelvis is beginning to widen to allow room for the baby to come through, which can be very painful. I had a hard time with this pain in my last pregnancy and it became so intense I could hardly walk at times. I went to a physical therapist and that helped alot. Through some simple daily exercises and massage, I was able to handle it better. The therapist also found out that one of my legs is slightly longer than the other and that was the cause of some of my pain. She did recommend using a pillow between the legs while sleeping and doing exercises before bed. You can safely take tylenol to help with the pain also. I know it hurts, I feel for you!

kaylasmommy - 185 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) im am also 37 weeks 4 days and i get the same pain that you are talking about its just the baby putting pressure dwn its perfectly normal. best of luck to you and your baby! xoxox

mattie4 - 185 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) definetly sounds like a pinched nerve and the weight of the baby is just making it worse

Carmione - 185 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) With your joints loosened up, it's easy to have just gravity become a bother and cause aches and pains. I have to switch hips after about 15 minutes or so because of the aches that start at the hips and run down to my knees.

christen - 185 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) i had the same thing happen when i was pregnant with my daughter....the doctor said it was just pressure put on your hip bone by the baby

LMO - 185 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) maybe the baby is pushing on it when you are laying down
