Just wondering should i be worried, with a positive FFN and i am dilated to 2 and a 3cm cervix should i be worried that i lost my mucus plug with the bloody show. I am all cramped but not sure if they are contraction. Not sure what to do..

But now I see that you aren't very far along, so my advice is to prop your heals up and try to keep that baby in as many more days as possible! But if he/she decides to come anyway, know that modern technology is awesome these days, and preemies have a very high survival rate! God bless you!

mommy-of-3 - 116 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) Oh wow it sounds like you are very close to having that baby. Just watch for signals that you might be starting actual labor and if your not already prepared for the hospital I would do it now.

Darianna - 118 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I say call your doctor right now!! I would say that you lost your mucus plug..I lost mine at only 30 weeks and I am now 33-34 weeks along! I am also surprised that you are 2-3 cm and you can start contractions right away! They are sharp stabbing pains. The tummy tends to get hard and then soft!! SO call your doctor right away!! Good Luck!!! And Stay off your feet until your doctor lets you know!!

mzmommy2b - 118 days ago Rating: 5 (1 votes) You could loose your mucus plus weeks before labor starts, so hopefully you will be in the 30 week marks, but it does seem as if labor may be in the near future. Try staying off of your feet and definetly see your Dr. He will probably put you on bed rest. You want that baby in you for as long as possible!

In most pregnancies, after 22 weeks, this protein is no longer detected until the end of the last trimester (one to three weeks before labor). you're at 29 weeks now, so I would call and check in if I were you...best of luck to you.

If you are not close to your due date, or you are worried, then the best thing to do would be to call your doctor. With my first child I was dilated to 4 cm several weeks before my due date and lost the mucus plug. I do not remember any cramping at that time. I do remember that if you have a real contraction you will KNOW it, you won't have to wonder....OUCH!!!
