Brandi J. - 100 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) This is normal, my bleeding starts and stops for the first 6 weeks postpartum. I agree, it is annoying, but it should go away around week 6. If you are not breastfeeding exclusively, then you will most likely get your period back around week 8 postpartum.

LMO - 103 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) i bleed for a couple weeks after having my daughter and then the next month it was normal

jade - 104 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) i had my period for two weeks and then it stoped for a 2 weeks annd then it came back again plus your period starts from the moment the baby is out.

hhall - 104 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I have a 2nd degree tear w/ stitches inside and out. It has been 3 weeks 2 days and I am still sore from stitches. I do spot during the day now, but i dont think its from the stitch site. Expect your period in 4-6 weeks, sometimes longer.

jah-baby - 104 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) i thought that u get ur period right away after birth and have it for a couple of weeks

mommy-of-3 - 105 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) Just as every woman is different, and so is every pregnancy, so will be the recovery. Your hormones are all out of whack again after giving birth and it can take weeks sometimes even months to get things back in order. If you are concerned talk to your doctor, that's always the safest way to go. Good luck! :)

vikki - 105 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) After one of mine, I bleed for 6 weeks. And then didn't get a period for what seemed like for ever ( this was my first so 6mths seemed for ever). Try not to do anything too straining, you don't want to risk pulling your stitches. Your stitches should however be healing up nicely by now but still just be alittle careful:-)

kater - 105 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) i agree with michaela, it sounds as if you are not having a period, rather you are still experiencing lochia. regular periods can commence anytime within 5 weeks to a year after the birth, depending on if you breastfeed

JennSever - 105 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) i bled for about 2wks after my babies, but my periods did not resume until i stopped nursing. however, each woman is different.

michaela - 105 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) Every woman bleeds after having a baby. Postnatal discharge, known as lochia, is how your body discharges the lining of the womb after birth. It may come out in gushes or flow more evenly like a normal period. As healing continues and the womb grows smaller, the flow of lochia will slow and turn from bright red to pink and, eventually, to yellow-white. You may bleed for as little as two to three weeks or as long as six weeks after birth. The flow will taper off very gradually. Red lochia should not persist for more than two weeks, although if you try to do too much too soon it may start flowing again. If you see bright red blood, it's a sign to slow down. I hope this helps reassure you taht all is normal.

Carmione - 105 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) Everyone is different as to how long they bleed after giving birth-I would guess that any blood that you would have 2 weeks out would be more your uterus than stitches. dissolving stitches if you have them start to go away around 2.5 weeks time to allow for the skin to seal. I would feel comfortable guessing that the stitches are of no concern, unless you tore something. There's no set timeframe for your cycle to resume, but I think that personally 2 weeks after giving birth it's not going to be a period you're dealing with right now. :)

Baby3OnWay - 105 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I had som bleeding up to about 6 weeks post with my daughter... when I had my son I went natural and had no stitches and I was fine with in a week. Give it 6-8 weeks and just mention it at you post checkup when you go! You'll be fine. Hang in there!!

mommy-at-home - 105 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I think it is usually 6 to 8 weeks. However, if you are breastfeeding it could be lots longer. Right now you are probably still spotting from the delivery and from the stitches.

candace3 - 105 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I think usually 4-8 weeks.

ttasha - 105 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) Well my period came back 8 weeks after i gave birth
