Hi: I was wondering if you would be just as hurt from my one doctor! In my heart, I have one great doc and one alright, the other is bad!! I have E-coli in my urine that is speeding to my kidneys.. I am worried for my baby, I am 34 weeks and in pain, and allergic to PCN!! SO I have a problem, I can have Roshephen, but in the hospital nothing, I was refused. So the next thing I knew I was being sent home, with no doctor coming to see me, just home, oh and I feel on my belly thanks to my dog! No placenta scan or anything!! I was called to get into the clinic the next mourning and then sent home, not seeing a doctor, so how would you feel? I was mad and upset, as if this all was not enough I have Sinus Tachycardia also, a heart problem...I am upset that this one doctor keeps sending me to hospital and never comes to see me before sending me home, and the other day I should have been seen!! Any suggestions?? Thanks, I want your opionis!!

I think it is a good idea for you to talk w/ your doctor and tell him exactly how you are feeling! Find out his exact reasoning for not being more concerned! It is too late for you to find another doctor at this point, b/c most are going to refuse to take you b/c of how far along you are. Good luck to you, and remember you have the right to know why they aren't doing more for you!

lulizzle - 102 days ago Rating: 3 (1 votes) I think it is def time to find a new doctor. This is the kind of doctor who we need to be sensitive and understanding and helpful during the whole pregnancy. For godsake we are creating another human being! If you don't recieve good care now whose to say you won't end up having more worse complications going to this no good poor excuse of a doctor. You need a doc who cares about its patients and the baby they are creating! Good Luck with everything no matter what you decide. I hope everything gets easier for you!

kater - 102 days ago Rating: 4 (1 votes) this sounds rally stressful. i think you should take some time to sit down with your doctor, and ask him why these decisions have been made. tell him how you felt, and see if there IS a reasonable explanation. if you arnt happy with what he has to say, i think its time for you to find a doctor you feel comfortable with. a good doctor/patient relationship is priceless

jah-baby - 102 days ago Rating: 4 (1 votes) i agree with holly28.let ur doctor know how u feel.I hate it when doctors act like that. The doc cant make u like a second priority or something.they are not suppose to refuse you

holly28 - 103 days ago Rating: 5 (1 votes) I think you should be honest and tell your doctor how you are feeling and why. If you don't tell him what bothers you there is no way for him to know that he needs to change it. Also, he may have an explanation that makes sense and gives you more peace about what has been going on. The key is to be respectful and calm when you talk to him. If you approach him in an upset manner he is more likely to focus on your negative (and clearly justified) emotions rather than what you are trying to tell him. If after that he is still not receptive to what you have to say its time to find a new doctor.

mattie4 - 103 days ago Rating: 4 (1 votes) i would be very honest and tell the dr how you feel. You can also insist on being checked, especially with everything that is going on. I would call and tell them that you are not comfortable with the situation. One would think that they would want to keep you from stressing out so much. I know i would be stressed with all of that. Good luck , i hope that things settle down for you.

mommy-of-3 - 103 days ago Rating: 4 (1 votes) Wow that sounds like a big problem. If you are feeling like your doctor isn't taking the time to thoroughly examine and care for you I would seriously consider switching to someone with more compassion and who will have your well being in higher priority.

Carmione - 103 days ago Rating: 5 (1 votes) As a patient, if you ever have an issue with a dr- you can always seek another opinion or seek care elsewhere. Not all Dr's have a pleasant and understanding bedside manner-which sucks. Medical school teaches them how to be dr's but forgets to teach lessons in compassion and understanding. Some dr's can be so detached from feeling that they seem to be on autopilot. Just because you started to see them for your initial care, doesn't mean you are stuck with them. Sitting at home with such an infection can cause more issues the longer it lingers untreated. Renal issues are very serious, especially when pregnant. I will put in a prayer for you and I hope you get better soon. It sounds like you need some encouragement right now. If you need to talk, you know where to find me. Keep your head up there chica!

vikki - 103 days ago Rating: 4 (1 votes) I would find ANOTHER DOC'! Make sure you're being heard and I'm sure they will give you a scan or at least hook you up to the fetal monitor to check if baby is distressed. As YOU are distressed, they should be listening and I would be hurt too in your situation. Ring up a new Doc' TODAY! Prayers to you and baby:-) Try to relax and have a nice bath to try to ease the pain untill you see someone new. And put a small heat pack ( not too hot) in the small of your back while sitting to help the pain too. I know it's not much but it may help alittle. :-)

Mommyof2boys - 103 days ago Rating: 4 (1 votes) I would go to another doctor and get a second opinion. Either your doctor thinks your going to be fine and isnt worried about the issues and thats why he's not doing a lot of things or he's just a bad doctor. Good luck!

michaela - 103 days ago Rating: 5 (1 votes) I would be changing my dr or at least talk to him and tell him that you feel unhappy with the level of care you are getting. E-coli urine infections are very common in women, please ensure you drink plenty of water and even take 1-2 glasses of cranberry juice aswell. As for the sinus tachycardia, how often are you being monitored? You said that you feel walking your dog, did you trip over the dog or did you get dizzy? Are you getting plenty of movements from the baby? If movements slow down, or you start to get cramping or bleeding call your dr immediately, if you are dizzy get your BP checked and maybe also get the dr's to do a ECG tracing of your heart. I'm not sure if any of this advice is of any help but if you want email me and i'll see if there is anything else I can suggest.

candace3 - 103 days ago Rating: 4 (1 votes) I would be very unhappy....and I would probably find a different doctor or request to not see that specific dr. anymore.
