Does the sharp pains below mean that I`m dilating? I didn`t have these pains with my first at all. Anyone else getting sharp pains?

Brandi J. - 82 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) My doctor told me that it was from the baby hitting my cervix! Yes, ouch it hurts badly!

totallykatalicious - 83 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) Probably, or just the baby pushing down.

LMO - 86 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) its probably just the baby pushing down on your pelvic area.

Baby3OnWay - 87 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I had sharp pains and I would decribe them as though the chils was trying to scratch or push forcefully out! I talked to my Dr when this was happening and he said it was the pressure and possibly the rippening of my cervix, which in turn begins the procces of effacment and dilation. It can be a long and slow process though so bare with it my dear!!! Soon enough!

mattie4 - 87 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) with each pregnancy comes more pains...atleast that is what i have been told and have noticed due to this being my 4th. It is more than likely just pressure from the baby. you can't feel it when your cervix is dilating.

jah-baby - 87 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) its probably just the baby pushing down but then if u do feel pelvic pressure alot then u should see a doctor.that could sometimes result into preterm labor

slnkl - 87 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) i don't think you're dilating with these sharp pains. like the others said you're probably feeling the pressure from your baby. your body is slowly changing and you'll start feeling more pain one at a time.

mommy-of-3 - 87 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) Probably not, more than likely it's just the added pressure the baby is puting on your pelvis, that can definitely cause sharp pains.

candace3 - 87 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I think it is probably just the weight of the baby. I know when I was dialating it was more of a dull achy pain.

vikki - 87 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) They could be ligament pains. I had none of these with my first but my second and subsquent pregnacies,I had HEAPS! They can get quite intense sometimes. They should be more to one side then the centre mostly. If you get too worried, just mention it to your Doc' next check up. :-)

Cindie - 87 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) It may just be your body stretching.

Mommyof2boys - 87 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I didn't have them with my first either, its probably from your previous all of your tendons and ligaments are streching and the babys probably got a lot of pressure down there on your pelvic bone.

michaela - 87 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) Not necessarily, it can be just the pressure of the baby's head either hitting a nerve orpressing on your bladder, although for your sake i hope it is you dialating. Sorry i give a better answer than that. Good luck xxx
