I had it, it eventually went away ... there would be times I couldn't pick up my baby and I had to get my hubby to help ... I had to wear a brace .. you can go to your doctor and ask for one, it would help alot!!

If possible, avoid any activity that requires forceful, repetitive hand movements. Although these movements may not have caused your carpal tunnel syndrome, they can make your symptoms worse.
If your job requires this kind of movement and you must continue it, consider wearing wrist or hand braces while you work.
If you're working at a computer, adjust the height of your chair so your wrists aren't bent downward as you type. Using a special ergonomic keyboard can help in some cases. Remember to take breaks to stretch your hands.
If your symptoms bother you at night, shift your sleeping position and try to prop up your arm with a pillow or two when you feel the twinges. Avoid sleeping on your hands. If you wake up with pain, try shaking your hands until the pain or numbness goes away.
If you have a lot of discomfort at night, try stabilizing your wrist in a neutral position (not bent) with a splint or brace. A neutral position allows the carpal tunnel to be slightly wider.
Practicing yoga can help relieve the pain and increase hand strength. You may have heard that taking extra vitamin B6 can help, but two small clinical trials have shown no immediate benefit from this treatment. Pregnant women who develop CTS are not likely to develop this condition again – unless, of course, there is another pregnancy – because the problem usually clears up after delivery. To help with the pain reduce your salt intake and change positions regularly

Hi I have carpal tunnel but it isn't related to pregnancy, I actually had it before due to a factory job I used to have. Anyway sometimes when it gets real bad I use Tiger Balm on it and then wrap it in an ace bandage for a while, I suppose something like Icy Hot would work as well.

I had it in both forearms with my son, and just my right now with Nyah. I do gentle stretches and keep an icepack in the freezer at work and will do 5-ten minutes on it palm down- then I wear my wrist support. Seems to help. On days that it's more bothersome a tylenol or two. Seems to act up more when I've had more salt than usual. The excess water tends to make it easier for nerve endings and tissue to swell up. :)

I had carpal tunnel from a car accident, they gave me something to rap around my arm and hand where I had the CT and told me to take motrin because its an anti-inflammatory and reduced the fluid and made my hand a whole lot better.

I didn't have carpal tunnel but a similar condition called trigger finger, I wore splints on my fingers for the last 4 months of my pregnancy, it took just over a month following my daughter's birth to settle down. If your's doesn't speak to your dr and get referred to physio, but it may require surgery in the long term.

I am dealing with the same thing. I had carpal tunnel pretty bad in both hands a few years ago and wore corrective hand braces everynight at bedtime. It went away until now (I'm 21 weeks). Its worse at night and my hands go so numb it hurts. They sell the braces at your local drug store and as silly as they look they work. Also, massage the insides of your palms when it hurts. If that doesn't work, they can prescribe you a mild painkiller.
