Hi all. I purchased a fetal h/b doppler monitor online today. im going to rent it for 45$ a month. its 600$ to purchase. does anyone think this was a waste of money...or do these things really work when bought online?? i got it on bellybeats.com

brandi j. - 100 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) When I was expecting my 4th child, there was another lady due at the same time on here who rented one and she loved it! She had had 7 or 8 miscarriages, and a stillborn, and this was going to be her 2nd living child, so she rented it for peace of mind. She could listen to his heartbeat when ever she wanted to and it made her feel better! I haven't ever experienced a loss, but I have thought about renting one as well, b/c it's just nice to be able to hear that little "galloping horse"! I had bought one of the bebe sounds when I was expecting my 1st child, and I would not reccommend one of those, they do not work! Congrats to you!

Christina1984 - 100 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) i wouldnt recomend it. go on ebay and type in Fetoscope. its a fetal stethoscope for listening to the heartbeat. every1 says they are great and im going to get one. they are only $7.95. i would try that 1st. good luck

chiinapregwit6 - 100 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I thought you have to be licensed to have one of those. I think it's a good ideal to have one but it's always a waist to rent things unless it's a dollar movie.

jah-baby - 101 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) umm i dont think its a waste.i heard they work great but be careful not to over use it becuz i heard thet canharm the fetus if overused

klasnaya - 101 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) Thats one cite that has docter kind dopplers. They are cool and work realy good! Storkradio is another one that has the same ones. I wouldnt trust buying them from people tho.

agonzales - 101 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I bought mine on ebay for $115. I bought it cause I had a m/c before and almost had one in the beginning with this one too. Thank god everything turned out okay. The one I bought was bistos hi-bebe in case you want to look it up. It works really well.

lulizzle - 101 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I bought one at Target for $20 and it picks up the heartbeat pretty well once you get it positioned....I wanted the good one like you got but money was a big issue!

mommy-of-3 - 101 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I would say if you are really worried about your baby's well-being then the peace of mind this will bring you is well worth the money spent. I have talked to some people who have purchased these and from what I hear they're great. One thing to keep in mind is that they are all different, some only work once you get to a certain week so just double check and make sure you know all of the specs of the one you plan to purchase.

LMO - 101 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) i dont think that you really need it unless there is a concern for your baby

prittigrl01 - 101 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) Um, I have heard that these arn't good for the babies. To use it all the time is not the best for them. I would research them.

caitlin h - 101 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I rented one at bellybeats.com and it worked great for me! Definitely worth it for the peace of mind- I would listen to the heartbeat every night before bed so that I wouldn't have bad dreams that the baby was dead or something! Sounds paranoid, but anything is normal when you are pregnant!

christen - 101 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) i bought one and i never could get mine to work
