Oh, and does anyone know what causes the restlessness at night??? I go to bed at 10pm and wake up a 1 or 2 every morning and just toss and turn like crazy!!! It is so frustrating since all day long all I can think about is sleeping! What causes this????

piggycindy - 93 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I am restless too... my is cause by PUPPP I get too itchy so I can't sleep.

lindamc - 95 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I don't know but I was restless too... I think it's natures way of getting us ready to be up ALL night!!!

kayleighrobo - 99 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) its auwfull i dont bloody know im glad its over now try getting a bath etc before you go sleep x

mzmommy2b - 100 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) Your hormones and also nervousness!

brandi j. - 100 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) This is very common! There is so much going on, and b/c of everything that everyone else has already mentioned, it is hard to get a really restful night sleep! I think that it is God's way of getting us used to getting less sleep, so we can take care of our little ones! Good luck to you and Congrats!

lulizzle - 100 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I'm right there with everyone else! Between the many million trips to the potty, hands falling asleep, back hurting and legs feeling all tight its a wonder I can even make it throught the day with the energy I do have! I have found that my body pillow which I have named Bob (he's the next best thing to sleepin with my man!) is my new best friend! I have also been using one of those night time eye masks that are aromotherpy scented that you put in the microwave...it is so relaxing it knocks me right out!

mattie4 - 100 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) you are soooo not alone. If i am not up peeing, my legs are twitching or just the slightest sound will wake me up and then it will take another hour or so to go back to sleep. Maybe it is nature's way of getting us ready for when the little one is here...lol. If you can figure out a way to get some sleep please let me know...lol. Oh last pregnancy they did give me ambien to help me sleep but that was like in my last couple of weeks of the pregnancy. I of course made them swear to me that it wouldnt harm the baby and was ok for pregnancy, this came from my ob...:). Talk to your doctor and see if he/she can help or has any suggestions. good luck!!!!

asutori - 100 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I totally have restlessness at night as well. Thankfully I work from home, so I have the opportunity to get in a nap at lunch time and right after work. If I didn't have my naps, I would be a zombie. When I actually do fall asleep well at night, it doesn't last very long and I wake up earlier than normal (which could also be attributed to the extra naps I take during the day), and I also wake up because I have to pee every 3 hours at night it seems. Also, I'm not as comfortable sleeping on my stomach, so as soon as I flip over, I have to change positions again. I think you will find that at least your sleepiness during the day with slowly diminish as the weeks pass. Good luck!!

Mommyof2Boys - 100 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) Insomnia is common in pregnant women, especially towards the end we become anxious and of course our bodies have grown a big ammount and you just can't sleep like before. Take a warm bath and read a book something that can calm your sleep and help you sleep better.

cloudie - 100 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) My main problem with sleeping is I can never stay comfortable and always having to go to the bathroom. I also think of it as natures way of preparing you for those long nights of taking care of baby. Even the slightest noise will wake me up.

prittigrl01 - 100 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I don't know what causes this but I can tell you, every night about 2:20 am I wake up and can't go back to sleep for at lest 1 hr and half to 2 hrs. I toss and turn. It's miserable. I have a a theory... I think us waking up like that and being WIDE awake for a while is getting us ready for when the baby comes. The baby will be up like that and we have to be awake and alert. Does this make sense?

LMO - 100 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) it is very common not to get any sleep while pregnant it is all your hormones that are out of wack

nich-vegas-mommy2be - 100 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I don't know what causes it, but for me it comes and goes. I will go a few weeks tossing and turning and getting very little sleep, then I might get a week that I can sleep pretty okay. It gets frustrating to wake up, adjust 5 different pillows supporting various parts of the body, just to end up not being comfortable 30 seconds later!

mommy-of-3 - 100 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I get the same thing, 2am like clockwork almost every night. I really don't know what causes it to happen, I thought maybe the baby was on some sort of sleeping schedule and that maybe it was him waking me up but I'm not really sure.

mommy-at-home - 100 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I'm right there. Miserable isn't it. To top it off, nausea kicks in really bad around 3 or 4 am.

JennSever - 101 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) out of control hormones..i take tylenol sleep (not pm with pain reliever)periodically with my drs permission. its so common for sleep to be a problem especially since you are in your 1st tri. your body eventually calms down and then all you will do it sleep.

jah-baby - 101 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) could just be hormonal..just the thought of knowing ur pregnant ..each day u feel more and more pregnant.i toss and turn about 35 times a night...LITERALLY

caitlin h - 101 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) My dr. said it was hormonal- SO FRUSTRATING though, isn't it? I feel like I have gotten way more sleep since my baby has been born... :)

klasnaya - 101 days ago Rating: 4 (1 votes) I think that its cuz a sudden change in your body. Your body has to grow a baby and your hormones are changing too. Makes it hard to sleep im still going through the cant sleep phase. I get up at 2am everynight. But captshelleys answer could have some truth too!

captshelley - 101 days ago Rating: 4 (1 votes) This is preparing you for the 2am feeding, the 4am feeding, the 6am feeding and the 8am feeding.

HaleyD - 101 days ago I am only 7 weeks and can't figure out why I cant sleep!
