I am 15 weeks and I am wondering if it is possible to feel the babies heartbeat if pushing on the abdomen. I have felt this twice.

You are probably just feeling your own heartbeat. You are able to use a stethoscope once you are further along to hear it.

Nope, you can't feel the heartbeat. Your baby's heart is smaller than a pin head anyways.

nope...you can feel it move...but you cant feel the heartbeat. They do say that as you get further along you can hear the heartbeat just by putting the ear to the tummy, but my hubby has yet to hear any of ours.

Its impossible to feel the heartbeat otherwise why would midwives and dr's use a doppler. You are feeling your own pulse. Sorry to dissapoint you. xx

you would not be able to feel the heart beat it could just be the hiccups or your pulse in your belly!

No thats just a pulse in your belly. My first pregnancy I thought I was feeling the baby but theres so much more blood flow. i was saddened when the DR told me that. I wish we had see through bellies so we ould just watch them grow hehe Congrats and good luck!

I wouldn't be pressing on your stomach like that its not good for you to do that while your pregnant. When you go for a check up you should be able to hear it at 15 weeks but I doubt you felt the babies, thats impossible.

As far as I know you can't actually feel the baby's heartbeat, it might have been your own pulse. You can always ask the doctor to find out for sure though.

No, you will not be able to feel the baby's heartbeat, it was most likely your own pulse. Congrats to you!

it is far more likely to be the pulse of the uterus, as babys heartbeat can only be heard by stethoscope at around 25 weeks, and at 15 weeks, can be heard by the Doppler (a much more powerful device)

I thought I felt that also, and asked my doctor. It actually turned out that I was feeling my heartbeat the first time (I was 16-17 weeks the first time) and then they think the second time I felt it, I could have been feeling the umbilical cord pulsating (I was 35 weeks the last time I felt it)
