I have been going by this time line that was given to me `32` weeks ago, I have thought that I have been `32` weeks for the longest time, however last friday I went to the Dr and they said I was measuring at 36 weeks I had also had an ultrasound and the tech said I measured at 36 weeks too.. SO now I am confused. AM I 32 or 36??? Help ME!!!

You are probably just going to have a big baby. I measured big with all of my kids. They were all between 10 and 16 days early. One was 8lbs 12 ozs. 19.5 inches long, the next was 8lbs 2ozs 19.5 inches long, my youngest was 9lbs 10.2 ozs 21.5 inches long.

The earliest "due date" is the most accurate. Whatever you got between week 1-12 would be more accurate that your measurements now because all babies grow at the same rate up until week 12. After that, the accuracy deminishes due to babies growing at all different rates (depending on nourishment, vitamins, and genetics). If you are now measuring 4 weeks too big, you may have developed late GD OR they could have been off a week or 2 initially which is always possible and you are carrying big on top of that. Lastly, it could just be that you have high fluid levels, which would make you measure larger. Either way, your almost there! Good luck!

That is quite a bit of difference, I always measure about 2 weeks off but if they're saying you're at 36 and you thought you were 32 I'd plan to go in early.

I had another ultrasound last week at 28 weeks gestation and I asked what the due date by that one was but they wouldn't even tell me because it's just not accurate. She said only the very early ultrasound dates and your period date give you your true due date... If your baby is measuring more, it just means that he/she is growing well and will be a nice, healthy bub!

The Dr's usually go by the ultrasound... just wondering why they are measureing by ultrasound that late though, I'm just as confused. You should ask your Dr what hes going by.. he will let you know for sure as they won't let you go so many days/weeks past your "due date" so he would have choosen which one hes going by. Good luck and I hope its 36 so you can have your little baby sooner! Good luck! CONGRATS

By this time, it is hard to know, b/c you may just be carrying a big baby. If you had an earlier u/s then the due date you recieved w/ it is more accurate than the last one that you recieved, it is harder to measure the baby in the 3rd trimester.
