*CHILD AGENCY QUESTION* - I`v been getting numerous compliments on my son but more questions about what childrens modeling agency hes with or if I`v entered his face shots yet. I get it on my mommy sites including this one, at the grocery stores, the malls, our doctor and the receptionist, and of course family. I would like to think people are just being nice. But theres a few mothers that asked to exchange numbers with me so when they can find the agency or what i need to do they can call me asap. I was wondering if any mommies have their little ones in one or are thinking about it and where to go what to do.. is he too young (hes only 2months but has so much personality in his face) .. thanks hope theres someone that can give me a little insight .. xx

kater - 113 days ago Rating: 5 (1 votes) i think all baby's are beautiful, and you don't need them to be a child model to know your son is gorgeous!

klasnaya - 113 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) My hubby would never allow that :( but hes extra protective. Good Luck to you mommy hes precious!

MelissaJoanne - 113 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) As mentioned by some others, I think that a lot of the decision has to do with your son's personality, not just his appearance. My husband was a child model (which is pretty funny to me. He was actually a very successful child model!). His mother always said that as soon as he wasn't interested anymore, he would stop. The first time he said he didn't want to do it anymore (around age 6-7 I think), he was retired from it. If my child is anything like me as a baby, there's no way they could model that young. I was (and still am) super shy). My husband has always been really outgoing, so it fit his young personality well. Also as others have said, make sure that you're going through legitimate agencies/competitions. They should never ask you for money.

Christina1984 - 113 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) my daughter has gotten those kind of responses since she was born. we will be in a grocery store and complete strangers say she should be in magazines. so last summer, just after she turned 2 i took her to a legit modeling agency. she had to be tested to see how she would do with complete strangers and no mommy around. well she was scared to death. they wanted her but said i should wait until she is out of that phase. i decided if she was that scared than it wasnt right for her just than. the funny thing was they wanted me too. i said not without her lol. if u start ur son early enough he may get used to the stranger thing. my 2 cousins started around his age and were fine. one even had movie contracts. the decided she liked sports better.

mommy-of-3 - 113 days ago Rating: 4 (2 votes) Don't do it just because people are saying that you should, if it's not something you want to do I wouldn't feel pressured into it. Also be careful because a LOT of those agencies are running scams and trying to make a quick buck. If you decide to go with one check the BBB and ask them for references of past or present clients.

LMO - 113 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) research different agencies on line in your area, it is alot of work and time. good luck

brandi j. - 113 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) Personally, I would not do it, but if this is something that you want for your son, then learn all that you possibly can about it and just be prepared for all that it entails. Best of luck to you!

leahs - 113 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I received a call from an agency wanting to sign my 3yr old daughter. We are in Canada so I don't know if it's different here but all I can say is if they ask you for any money they are not reputable. I was told children under 8yrs old do NOT need head shots/photos, they do not need any type of acting/modelling classes. Unfortunately for even the most gorgeous babies/children if they go for a casting and the 'baby handler' goes to take them from you (parents can not go into the casting with the child) and your child starts to cry or whine the director will hand the baby back and say "Next". I'm still debating whether this is all worth it or not. The contract is quite detailed. Best of luck to you.
