mucous plug?!?!?

so i wasnt dialated as of my app yesterday but i have been losing mucous like chunks they are very mucous like different from just discharge but there is no blood or brown streaks, im wondering could this be my plug, i am 40 weeks one day and looking for some signs thanks to anyone who had/have similiar

It may look like a thick glob of stringy mucous, thicker than what you would see with normal vaginal secretions. If you are close to going into labor you may see pink, brown, or red blood around the edges of the mucous plug. This is called the “bloody show”.

pregnantegyptian - 178 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) You should take one of those chunks put it in a container and go to your doctor with it and he should be able to tell you what it is. As far along as you are i do believe that it could possibly be a mucus plug. Good Luck

Baby3OnWay - 178 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I wouldn't really say that its your plug as I remember what you are describing and I thought it was my plug until I went for an appointment and they told me that its was just thicker more mucousy discharge...BUT withing a few days I started contracting and ended up having the baby! I didn't lose my plug with the first until well into labor and never noticed/saw it with my second... hang in there anyday now your bean will be here!! GOOD LUCK

kayleighrobo - 179 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) yes defentaly it either comesout in chunks or bit by bit usually you only have blood in it alot of it if you've had a membrane sweep or your in active labour congratulations i had a similiar exsperience i actually thought i had already lost it when i had a bit of pink in it but the midwife told me you can loose it then it will heal back up seeing as your 40 weeks and dialated it looks like you'll be going into labour soon speed it up by having lots of sex lol i know you wont feel like it but everything helps xx

michaela - 179 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) Sounds like it could be your plug, as more come away you may notice some streaks of old blood, if you see lots of fresh blood contact your hospital immediately. I lost my plug whilst being examined after my waters broke. Good luck. You shouldn't have to wait too long now. xx

JennSever - 179 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) when i lost my plug it was laced with blood - however you can lose it over time so you might not notice the bloody show as much. or you could have already lost it and not know it.

Brandi J. - 179 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) It could be your mucous plug! It does not have to have blood streaks, the blood is your bloody show. Just pay attention each time you go to the restroom, since you are losing it in chunks and b/c you are already 40 weeks preg.(God Bless you, btw), you will probably start to notice it becoming blood streaked, b/c you are probably starting to go into labor.
