For those experiencing leg cramps, just wondering how long your leg was sore after the cramp? I had my first one on Wedneday night, and it is still pretty sore...

Melanie07 - 93 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) Sometimes it can cause soreness for a while. It depends on how long and hard the cramp was. Eat more bananas and drink oj and milk. Also when one hits. Point and flex you foot till it is gone.

LMO - 95 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) you might need to eat a bannana soreness in your leg after a charlie horse can last a while rub it

KarenVG - 97 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I had leg cramps in both previous pregnancies and expecting to in this one! If you get alot of them it can make them sore when exercising even a long time after pregnancy. They are "supposed" to be caused by lack of calcium. There is an exercise to help them, stand on a step (toes on the step only) and let your heel fall back to stretch the muscle then go up on your toes, and repeat several times each day...

ttasha - 97 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) mine was sore for just the day really but i suppose everyone is different

holly28 - 97 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) Sometimes my leg aches for days after a really bad cramp. Try alternating heat and cold on it like you would for any other inflamed injury. It should help, at least a bit.

selenia - 98 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) i had a bad one and my leg was so sore for 3 days after.

kater - 98 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) LEG CRAMPS AAAAAAAAH!!!!! if you have a bad one, it can stay sore for 2-3 days afterwards. i got a really bad one, and even after a massage form my hubby, it stayed really sore for a few days. it felt like i had gone running for a few hours!!

Mommyof2boys - 98 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I had a really bad one and my leg was sore for a few days. That muscle just streches and it feels like it bruises it. I think thats the only thing I don't like about being pregnant is the leg cramps, aww they are terrible.

Darianna - 98 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) Oh: Leg Cramps!! I am wondering what or how long things are to last!! I have had my leg cramp for three whole days! I am always having them in the afternoon! The pain stays for 30min to 1 hr!! Good Luck and God Bless!!

Laura Ward - 98 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I had the worst leg cramps during my last pregnancy. They are awful and I can definitely sympathize with you! Sometimes my legs would hurt for several hours afterwards, but I never had one last for a few days. Make sure you are drinking alot of water since being dehydrated can cause your muscles to cramp. Also, eat a banana--sometimes the potassium is just what you need to help with the muscle cramps. If it does not go away, I would call your doctor. You could have a blood clot or a strained muscle that needs more attention. I hope you feel better soon!

michaela - 98 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) Is there any redness or swelling of your calf (one leg more swollen than the other)? If so for my peace of mind please and yours please see your dr asap. I don't want to freak you out or anything but all the above can be signs of a blood clot (DVT) in one of the veins, this needs treating straight away. you are at a higher risk of developing these when pregnant. Make sure to exercise your ankles regularly - make circles with your feet and flex feet up and down to encourage good circulation. Otherwise you have probably just strained the muscle and it should be ok in a few days, might help to apply bag of frozen peas on it or heat pad depending on which works for you, personally i prefer heat to cold. I hope this helped. xx

captshelley - 98 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) Oh leg cramps sucks! Butt cramps suck more. How do you strecth your butt? Squatting and sitting doesn't do the trick. Take a warm bath or get a massage.

loulou - 98 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) ya the pain is terrible the good thing is they only last a few seconds try to wiggle your toes and stretch out your foot it helps. I was also told it was lack of calcium so try drinking milk must say it helped me. Good luck

lulizzle - 99 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) Have you been extra active? Maybe you pulled a muscle! See if someone nice will give you an extra nice leg massage!

gr8scottswife - 99 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) Try magnesium complex from Nature's Sunshine. You'll be so pain free and glad.

mommy-of-3 - 99 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I have been having the worst time with these, very painful! I have noticed that even after the cramp has gone there is an overall tightness in my calves that stays there sometimes.

brandi j. - 99 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) Ouch!!! I have had these w/ my other pregnancies, but the pain always subsided as soon as the cramp was gone. Is it possible that maybe you strained your muscle? Have you tried soaking in warm water and seeing if that helps? If nothing helps, then call your doc. and see what he/she recommends! I hope you feel better soon!
