my son used to do this so what i had to do was split his bottle in half.. i would feed him two ounces then burp him then feed him the other two ounces and then burp him again. and it worked really well. when i would feed it all at once he would get big gas bubbles im assuming and would jsut spit everything up and we would have to start again. so try the splitting it up to burp and see how it works for you. good luck

For some kids spitting up is completely normal. I smelled like sour milk for 4 months with my first baby! It can be air in the tummy, acid reflux, or over-eating. All are no cause for alarm, and all may make her cry as it isn't always comfortable for your food to go the wrong direction! Ask your doctor if you are still very concerned or want to nail down the reason. If it smells extremely sour it's because the milk is was partially digested before it came back up, no worries. If your daughter ever spits up bright orange, amazingly this is also not cause for alarm, it just means that she has acid reflux, is spitting up stomach acid, but has a completely empty tummy at the time and needs to be fed.
Also both of my first two kids had acid reflux, with number two I nursed less at one sitting but more often. Specifically, only one side at a time, but sometimes every hour if needed. This was a lot more time consuming, but helped cut down the spitting up for baby number two signifigantly!

some babys are harder to burp than others, and if a small bubble of air is left, it can sometimes come up with a little bit of milk. if it is white, and baby isnt in pain or discomfort, its completely normal

I have the same problem occasionally with my daughter. She finds it comforting to be on the breast or the bottle and likes to use them to fall asleep instead of a soother. This causes her to eat too much and a little while later she will throw up. Also if she gets upset and cries a lot then her tummy gets upset and she may throw up. The third thing it could be is that when she eats really quickly she gets too much air in her tummy and instead of burping she throws it all up.

my friends baby was call the exorcist lol because every single time she ate she would spit/throw up and I thought her head was going to start spinning but her weight was fine so they never worried. Unless she's losing weight from it or seems like she's have tummy pain take her to her doc.

Babies spit up when they've eaten too much or when they've swallowed too much air while feeding. Spitting up usually occurs when babies burp. It can also happen when your baby is drooling. Spitting up is not vomiting. Babies usually don't notice when they spit up, while vomiting is forceful and painful. Spitting up is a common occurrence for most babies until about the time they can eat solid foods (usually around 6 months to 1 year of age).
The medical term for "spitting up" is gastroesophageal reflux, or reflux. It happens when milk or solid food in the stomach comes back up into your baby's esophagus. Spitting up is messy, but it is a normal occurrence during your baby's early months. It rarely involves choking, coughing or pain.
However, you should contact your doctor if you notice your baby has the following symptoms:
Is not gaining weight.
Spits up a large amount of milk (more than 1 or 2 tablespoons)
Spits up or vomits forcefully,
Has fewer wet diapers than normal,
Seems very tired or lethargic,
Spits up green or brown liquid.
Just pay attention to the amount of diapers that you are changing and that your baby is gaining weight. Also, if she acts like it hurts her, then you need to mention this to your doctor. Word of warning though, is that some ped. will tell you that you have to stop breastfeeding, but formula is actually worse on the baby, breastmilk is much easier for the baby to digest. Alot of babies spit up, it is normal, as long as your baby is not showing pain, just remember to bring along extra clothes for you and your baby! Also, when I was first starting to breasfeed my 2nd child, my nipples were bleeding and this upset his stomach and caused him to spit up after each feeding, until my nipples healed.

I would definitely speak to your pediatrician about this issue. I knew someone who was having the same problem with her baby, and it ended up being that he was allergic to the formula. She had to put him on soy based formula. Hope it gets better!

Maybe she is jsut getting too much at one time or maybe she has gas. Maybe she is allergic to something in the formula? Maybe she needs soy based or perhaps a lactose free formula.
I would speak to the doc about this at your next visit (or sooner if you get more worried. If she isn't able to urinate, she may get dehydrated a bit, so that would be another reason to speak with the doc.) Good luck, E-C-L

This is completely normal, it's usually a sign that baby hasn't burped enough during a feeding. Just try burping a little more often during feedings before she gets too full.

I wouldn't feed the baby too much they will get really bad gas and bad stomach aches but make sure you see what is exactly wrong with her and put the tip of your finger in her mouth or give her a binky. and pat her and try to put her to sleep but never over feed a baby.

Spitting up is pretty normal in most babies. Make sure you are burping her throughout the feeding. Your baby should be content after a feeding and if she is not, then you could try feeding her a little bit more. You dont want to starta a bad habit of overfeeding her though. ALso, if she has been overfed, that can cause her to spit the milk back up. I would feed her a normal amount (based on her age it all depends how m uch she will consume) and then burp her. If she is still crying because she is hungry after you burp her, give her an ounce more. Unless her puking is excessive, colored or mucousy, I would not worry to much. She should also be gaining weight at a steady pace and if her spitting up is interfering with weight gain, you should call a doctor.

My daughter was like that as well... the Dr said to try and burp her a little more then i usually do even if she does burp see if theresmore there. I didnt think it was going to help but it did. I guess there were a few gas bubbles in there that would rise up and bring milk with it. ALSO how old is your child? Don't feed her more either as it will add to the gas, try giving her some gripe water, get it in baby section just about anywhere, it will help settle her belly. I usually just dip the soother into it myself. GOODLUCK!!
