hey i got a membrane sweep 2 days ago the doc said i was very favourable and would prob go into labour that night!!i didnt have a show until 21hs later but now another day has passsed and i still dont have any contractions :( .. do these usually work ??

tare - 91 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) i had this done with my first two children and now with baby three... it worked within 6 hours with the first two and now i'm 1 1/2 weeks into it and it didn't work

aine - 93 days ago hey thank u eveyone that esponded to my question, 4 days later and still no sign of baby ... this is ok im getting induced in 2 days ..had contractions allday yesterday but they all came to a stop last night!! roll on wed ..thanks everyonex

niki - 93 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I was told the same although the midwife sent me to delivery suite to get my waters broke 8pm and my wee woman made her appearance at 2am. I was due to get a sweep done but the midwife could feel the babys head and i was 3cms dilated with little pain. You will probably get induced if nothing happens soon. take care x

hhall - 95 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I had one done and only lost my plug after a week. i was dilated to 2, effaced and "ready to go", but still had to be induced.

brandi j. - 95 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I asked my doctor about doing this w/ my 3rd pregnancy, but he said that it didn't work for alot of women, and was quite painful, so he chooses not to do it to his patients.

kbushby - 95 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) i had that done with my son. she ruptured my membranes on a monday and i had dialated another cm by thursday and was having lots of cramping so we just broke my water to start full labor. good luck, it sounds like your going to have a baby soon...

Baby3OnWay - 95 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I have heard of them working for some woman and I have heard of women getting them done a second tie. I had one with my first pregnancy and went into labor within 24hours... I have seen others go a week or more and then get it again. I guess it just differs from person to person. Good Luck!
