i should have researched beforehand, but didn`t think it would be a big deal, i got a spray tan the other day [im 14 weeks] and i would like to continue getting them once a week possibly since i can`t tan in a bed. do you think there is any real hard in this?

RandiLee - 1390 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) it's completely fine....i actually asked one of the reps at a tanning place....she said it was fine. tanning is NOT....it's actually illegal here in Ottawa to tan while you're pregnant.

LMO - 1393 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) i dont think that it would hurt the baby

totallykatalicious - 1394 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I think you'll be fine, but I never used spray tan, so...

lindamc - 1394 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I would just be worried about breathing in the spray tan...

kendrab - 1394 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) i have heard of alot of girls doing that as a safe alternative.

dianarene - 1394 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I think you'll be fine

ttasha - 1395 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) spray tan is much safer than the sunbed i dont think the spray tan will affect ur baby

kathleen - 1395 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) their is no harm at all in getting a spray tan and i think its so much better then going on the sun bed

Baby3OnWay - 1395 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) Theres nothing wrong with it at all, infact I use to tan in a bed all the time and when I got prego they called to see where I had been (I was a regular and quite chatty with the girls so I guess they worried) ANYWAYS they went on telling me that because I was pregnant did not mean I had to stop tanning as they was no research saying it was harmful as long as you didn't go more then 10mins or got out when you got real hot or felt sick... MIND YOU I WOULD NEVER TAKE THAT RISK... I know a lot of woman who are using the lotions and spray! TAN baby hehe

Mommyof2boys - 1395 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I read that there's nothing wrong with getting spray tan, there's nothing harmful the baby can get from it through your skin, its just a dye.

captshelley - 1395 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) Nah, you'll be fine and your baby. Keep treating yourself.

gr8scottswife - 1395 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) Spray tan isn't harmful.

JennSever - 1395 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) i don't think spray tan is harmful..i think you and your baby are just fine

mommy-of-3 - 1395 days ago Rating: 5 (1 votes) I don't think a spray tan would do any harm but to be on the safe side I would ask your doctor about it or someone at the salon before your next appointment.

brandi j. - 1395 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) If you are worried about the effects of UV rays on your body during pregnancy, but you don't want to give up tanning, there are safe self tanning options. Self tanning lotions do not penetrate further than the top layer of skin. You could visit a tanning salon that has spray tanning booths or airbrush tanning booths that only color your skin. The tan only lasts a couple of days at the most but is it very safe for women who are pregnant. Other self tanning lotions that are applied to the skin have an active ingredient that creates a tan on your body that could last a couple of weeks. Ask an attendant at the tanning salon about safe self tanning lotions for women who are pregnant. If you are still concerned, talk with your doctor about the risks of tanning during pregnancy and how to tan safely, in a tanning bed or with self tanning products.
