I think it differs per the dr's office, I was examined at 36 weeks, thats when they did the strep B test and checked my cervix

At by Ob/Gyn checkups 32 weeks is when they do the strep b swab.. vag and around your bottom, they may do an internal check as well buut here they don't start that until about 34-36 weeks and on! They also measure your belly, and feel your belly to see if baby is in position or not

They usualy just measure you and listen to the babys heart rate unless you are having problems they usualy don't check your cevix until about 35 weeks thats when you'll need the strip down.

I don't think you will start getting checked until around 36 or 37 weeks, then you should start seeing your doctor every other week until you deliver.

The next time you'll have to strip down will prob. be when you get your strep B test...basically a like a pap...mine was at 35wks...they usually are done between weeks 35 & 37....Once I hit 37 wks I was getting checked every week for changes in my cervix.

Here in the UK you don't get examined unless you are in labour or are being induced. Generally it feels a bit like getting a smear done, as they try to measure how dialated you are and how favourable things feel.

i think more than anything it depends on your doctor but the majority start to check you at 36 weeks

At 32 weeks most doctor's will start to see you every 2 weeks. At 36 weeks they will do a Group B Strep test and most likey check you cervix. You should start seeing your doctor every week after that. Some doctors will check your cervix every week from there on and some won't. My doctor only started to check at 38 weeks every week.

My doctor's website gives a schedule of visits, and week 32 just says "At this visit we will begin our every two week checks on you and your baby to closer follow blood pressure, weight gain and the growth of your baby." I am guessing the fundal height is how they are checking on Baby's growth. They don't do any internal at my office until 36 weeks, unless they already have a reason to do it earlier.

At my 32 week appointment they didn't do a pelvic exam. So they may wait until the next visit or at 36 weeks. It depends on the doctor.

Every doctor is different, but most doctors wait until week 36 or 37 to start examining. My doctor examines at week 28 b/c he wants to make sure his patients are trying to go into labor prematurely, and this is when he starts the every 2 wks app., then at week 36 he does the group b strep test and checks for dialation/effacement. Starting from week 36 he checks his patients every week. So, I would not expect your doc. to check you at week 32. But if he does, then expect all of the usual checking that you get at all of the other app., such as baby's heartbeat, fundal height, weight, blood pressure, urine, etc. At my doc. office, after the nurse does her part, she tells me to take off bottoms and panties and gives me a sheet that I am to use to drape over me. She leaves the room, I strip, sit on the table and drape the paper sheet over my bottom half. The doctor comes in some time after that w/ the nurse. He then does the heartbeat check, fundal height, and then he checks my cervix. He tells me if I am making any progress, when he "predicts" when I will go into labor. Asks me if I am having any problems, answers any of my questions, and then he tells me he will see me next week. Then he leaves the room, I get dressed, and that is that. I hope this helps some! Congrats on being so close to meeting your little one! :o)

well most dr, will not give u an internal yet, but I like getting them( well not enjoy but like knowing the progress I have made)
Well some dr do not do that cause it can bring on labor, but if u ask which I would or ur dr may feel iots time for a routine, but most likely the nurse will get iu in a gown if dr is gonna wanna take a opeek, it doesnt hurt its quick painless and he / she can tell u if ur cervix has thinned out at all, I am going tommrow for my 31 wk check up and I am gonna request it cause I feel so much pressure nad feel baby has dropped if u feel u need to request it1 but every dr really is different, if u dont have one at 32 wks, which i say 65% chance u will,t hen for sure at 34, See they do mine a lil early cause I ahve had all my babies at 36 37 wks and this is # 5! either way let me know

I think I was examined at 34 or 36 weeks.... my midwife stripped my membranes at 38 weeks (I was totally unprepared for it!)
