Hi, not sure if this has been asked before but, has anyone tried using those maternity/pregnancy pillows for sleeping like the Snoozer or Snoogle pillows? If so, do they work, are they worth it? I read reviews but they are sort of mixed and I need to try something already to help me sleep and I`m only at 11 weeks, let alone with a big bump coming soon... I already do yoga, stretch lots, and try other methods to help me relax. Help?

I added pillows. Its entirely up to yourself but try pillows first before going to the expense of buying maternity pillows. Hope you find it more comfortable x

I find mine very comfortable. The only issue I have is that because I get sore after sleeping on one side I need to turn to the other side. When you have the pillow wrapped around you and between your legs it can be quite the effort to turn over. Also, it takes up a lot of room. I usually only use mine when my bf is working nights. There just isn't room for the 3 of us! lol

I had a body pillow it was the only way I could get comfortable. I found all sorts of different ways to adjust it nothing else worked for me. The little pillows just ended up on the floor. Now that I am not pg I hate it LOL

I love my snoogle and my fiancee' works nights so when I am working he is using the snoogle too and he also loves it. Its amazing how much better it is than just a body pillow. Or at least thats the way I feel about it.

You may never sleep again. Sleeping was the most difficult for me during the entire first trimester, and even now, I sometimes find it difficult to sleep, not because of a big belly, either. I really don't know a cure for the sleep challenge. I've read that it is hormone-related. I have also read in multiple articles that the main thing is to get some sleep no matter when it is. Therefore, if you can't sleep at night, sleep when you can.

I have a really big body pillow and my brothers girlfriend had a C shaped maternity pillow... not sure of the name but it was so comfy!! she let me try it out for a few nights, BUT I find the BIG LONG body pillow works wonders for proping my belly, sticking between my legs, laying by entire body on it... anyposition i get into with a body pillow does wonders for me. I suugest getting one!

I had one with my last baby and would highly recommend it, they are so comfortable and really help towards the end of the pregnancy when you have so much extra weight.

Yes, I found mine at a gently used baby retail shop and made a cover for it I love it because I can position my body on it and it makes sleeping on my side a lot better.

i got one today and just two minutes on it made feel so good! it gives you nice support. we'll see what happens tonight! plus, later, it'll double as support for breastfeeding so i don't have to get a boppy pillow to hold baby.

I haven't ever tried these personally, but have been told they work very well! The way I see it is it depends on how uncomfortable you are! Some women cannot get comfortable no matter what methods they try. I suggest you trying some extra pillows that you have lying around your home first, and if this helps, then invest in the big pregnancy body pillow. I say this, b/c they are quite expensive, and if it doesn't work then you are out that much money! Good luck to you, I hope you are sleeping better very soon!

I don't have a great answer for you, but I'm glad you asked - I've been wondering too. I also do yoga/stretching/relaxation, but recently have had awful hip pain while sleeping. My only solution so far was to pile up my side of the bed with 3 down comforters and loads of pillows. It works, but my husband doesn't like nearly falling off of his little side of the bed! I've found really mixed reviews on the maternity pillows too, and didn't want to spend the money if they don't work.
