What is it considered if you feed your baby breastmilk from a bottle? Is it considered bottlefeeding since you are notfeeding from the breast? Or is it bottelfeeding even though you are feeding baby breastmilk?

lady26 - 1383 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) It's not breast feeding if the baby is not sucking on the breast. It's just feeding the baby breastmilk. When the baby suck on the breast directly it's healthier than the breastmilk in the bottle. I read that the bottle can be contaminated but the breast is always sterilize thats why breastfeed is healthier.

MelissaJoanne - 1384 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) Anything involving the feeding of your breastmilk is breastfeeding.

niki - 1384 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) Its breast feeding although i wish i would have been able to express but my wee lady took all the milk i had and left me next to nothing to express.

mommauv4 - 1390 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) It is expressed breast milk so it technically breast feeding only a heck of a lot more work.

Melanie07 - 1392 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) Breastfeeding is giving baby breastmilk whether from bottle or breast, it still is coming from your breast. With my first I fed her breastmilk from a bottle. They other two I did it mainly straight from the breast.

Mommyof2boys - 1393 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) Breastmilk is breastfeeding/nursing same thing really from a bottle or boob.

Baby3OnWay - 1393 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) breastfeeding from a bottle instead of using the term NURSING!!

mzmommy2b - 1393 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) Breastfeeding. The baby is still having breastmilk.

michaela - 1393 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I would call it expressed breastfeeding! you are tecnically still breast feeding though!

brandi j. - 1393 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) If someone asks you, just tell them "I pump my milk". It is breastfeeding, except it is not "ecologically breastfeeding", b/c that is not giving a bottle or pacifier, only using the breast for all of your babies needs. However, some vitamins and nutrients are lost through the pumping and storage process. I want to strongly stress that even with these losses, expressed breastmilk is much better for your baby than formula. With breastmilk, like any food, fresh is best, second to that would be refrigerated and frozen would be the next choice, though again still vastly superior to formula. To compensate for the loss of some of the components through storage and the changes that occur in the composition of breastmilk related to the age of the baby and time of day, it’s a good idea to try to provide some freshly-pumped milk as often as it is reasonable. When a baby is nursing from the breast there can be enhanced immune response. Mothers will also start to produce specific antibodies to illnesses when exposed directly to a germ, so if there is a cold or other minor infectious illness going through your family it might boost your baby’s protection to provide more freshly pumped milk at that time. While pumped breastmilk, provided by bottle, is not exactly the same as breastmilk directly taken through breastfeeding, it is certainly as close to breastfeeding as one can get. Breastfeeding is always considered the number one choice for all infants, with mother’s own expressed milk as a very close second choice.

mommy-of-3 - 1393 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) It's still breastfeeding because you aren't giving the baby formula. Even though the breastmilk is in the bottle it is still breastfeeding.

kathleen - 1393 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) hey i would say its breastfeeding as its breast milk but hey lets call it b&b feeding

kbushby - 1393 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) your still breastfeeding you jsut use the bottle.

ptanona007 - 1393 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) If you are feeding you baby with breastmilk it is considered breastfeeding (with a bottle) All the same nutritional benefits apply (as long as you ref/freeze/unthaw properly

LMO - 1393 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) it is considered bottle feeding even though it is breast milk the baby is still getting it from a bottle

terriamy - 1393 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) Well the saying is "breast milk is best" because it is made uniquely for your little one, the fact that the milk is coming from a bottle does not change the fact that you are giving your baby the best possible start in life, expressing the milk is a good way of avoiding the discomfort that some mums experience during breasfeeding, Bottlefeeding breastmilk hmmmm I would say its bottle feeding still but keep up with the good work x x

totallykatalicious - 1393 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) It's considered bottle feeding even though you are feeding them breast milk .. but hey it's all good, whatever you feel is best for you to do. :)
