I am extremely sick, feeling like I wanna throw up all over the place. Anyone have some suggestions as to what i could eat or drink that would help alleviate this???

lady26 - 85 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) Try taking your prenatals at bedtime and eat lots of oranges/grapefruits

niki - 85 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) Try dry bread and drink plenty of water. take care x

joyfulnoise - 86 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I don't think you can alleviate this early pregnancy, it just comes with the territory. Try some Ginger Ale & crackers. If it so extreme that you are throwing up all day long talk to your doctor. Some women just react to pregnancy this way, hopefully you'll get some relief soon.

mommauv4 - 92 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) Good grief I had the same problem and different things helped and sometimes nothing helped. You could try putting something like ginger cookies or saltines in your belly before getting up. I liked to eat sour candies they helped for a bit... If it is really terrible talk to your dr. you might want to consider a medication.

terriamy - 93 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) Ginger nut cookies or biscuits are a great idea I have bad nausea at the moment and nothing settles it better I have a few before I get out of bed in the morning to stop the room from spinning!! Good Luck x

Melanie07 - 94 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) Saltines are the best. Keep them with you. Keep them by your bed and eat a couple before getting up. Also, kinda flat seven up.

eastern-Canadian-Lady - 94 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) A former co-worker suggested pears to me. A friend suggested watermelon, bc it did wonders for her. All I could take was milk, and toast with p.b. for WEEKS! Everything was too sweet. I couldn't keep anything inside of me. One thing I noticed that helped me was very odd, pineapple. I usually don't like it, but it was on pizza, and when I tried it, I felt better. As for shopping with morning sickness, I HAVE to have mint gum in my mouth bc it covers the smell of the food from the deli, though I still had to avoid the meat department. I was throwing up or having the runs for a LONG time. I am at 23 weeks by dates, but 21 by U/S. I'm not over it yet, but it seems to be improving. This weekend I ate two meals, I thought that one was amazing, but to have two, WOW! These were the first meals I have been able to keep down since late October/ early Nov. (I was ill b4 I got pregnant.) i have a problem with throwing up when I brush my teeth. I told the dental hygenist last week during a cleaning about it, she told me to make sure I don't look in the mirror when I brush, but to keep my head tilted downwards bc the gag reflects is activated by things in the very back of the mouth. If you look down, nothing is back there to trigger it. I tried it, and it is working pretty well. I hope that something here helps. take care, E-C-L

I was throwing up or having the runs for a LONG time. I am at 23 weeks by dates, but 21 by U/S. I'm not over it yet, but it seems to be improving. I had lost 33 lbs bc of the morning sickness. The doc put me on Declectin and Gravol with ginger in it. It didn't work for me at all, in fact, I stopped the ginger pills, and forgot to take the diclectin for a few days. That was when I noticed I was feeling a bit better than before. But then I got sick again, so I went back on it, and the med seemed to make me feel worse. It happened again this morning. I don't think I will take diclectin again, bc it ws so aweful, but my friend swears by it. This weekend I ate two meals, I thought that one was amazing, but to have two, WOW! italiana386 - 94 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) i had severe "morning sickness" up until my 16th week and am starting to feel it again in my 28th....the only thing i could do was eat a few saltines and drink gingerale or sierra mist...sprite and 7 up had too much sugar and my stomach couldn't handle it. Also, try to eat something right when you get out of bed, even if it's just a couple crackers. if i didn't eat soon enough after i got up or between meals, it only made me feel worse. You may not be hungry or think it's time to eat, but the baby will say differently and at this point he/she's boss! i would ask your doctor about ginger tablets. ginger is known to help with nausea (you can make tea from it and stuff) but some OB's will tell you not to take it because it can cause early labor in some cases. the same is true with most herbs especially in teas.......just to be safe!

kendrab - 94 days ago Rating: 1 (1 votes) i have heard that ginger tablets help, and you can get them at like a herb store for a pretty reasonable price. something like $15 for a months worth.

nich-vegas-mommy2be - 94 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) Lemonade, plain noodles...I don't know that they will alleviate the problem, but getting something down and keeping it down could possibly help a little bit. For some people, ginger ale helps. If you stay sick and can't eat, ask your doctor about some medications that are safe to help fight the nausea. (for some, it could be as simple as 1/2 Unisom and Vit. B)

KarenVG - 94 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) Ginger cookies I have a home made recipe if you want it, mints... if all fails you need to see your doctor for medication.

Mommyof2boys - 94 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) Crackers, lemon drops work very well to keep the nausea away and some women like to have a small cup of coke to drink and it settles well. Good luck!

kayla-love - 94 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I used to suck sweets and always ate something before getting out of bed. Dried crackers helped me as well.

Baby3OnWay - 94 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) nothing worked for me that people suggested so i went to my Dr and since I was loosing weight in my pregnancy due to sickness and not eating he perscibed me DICLECTIN and it works wonders.. I eat anything and everything all the time now!! look into your options with you DR

wildberry - 94 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) i feel you i get very sick when i am pregnant sea sickness bracelets work for some woman sucking on lemon drop candy helped me and never drinking on an empty stomach also the only liquid i could keep down till week 14teen was dr pepper

lindamc - 94 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I just ate whenever I felt nauseated... it worked for me, just keep it light! It'll pass soon, gl!

MelissaJoanne - 94 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I sucked on Preggie Pops almost constantly. I also tried to eat little bits of food throughout the day - I found I would feel worse if I went without eating at all.

mzmommy2b - 94 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) Also, gingerale may help

mzmommy2b - 94 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) Saltine Crackers and water!

gr8scottswife - 94 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I never found anything that worked.

brandi j. - 94 days ago Rating: 5 (1 votes) I read in my "What to Expect when you are expecting", which is a really good book to get, if you don't already have one, that eating protein and complex carbs, not reg. carbs, the complex one, such as whole grains, etc., will help fight nausea. I hope you are feeling better soon, so you can enjoy your pregnancy!

LMO - 94 days ago Rating: 5 (1 votes) Crackers and 7 up

mommy-of-3 - 94 days ago Rating: 5 (1 votes) Pineapple juice with lots of ice helped me fight nausea, mostly try to stay away from highly seasoned foods and grease. You can also try dry toast and gingerale.

kathleen - 94 days ago Rating: 5 (1 votes) ginger biscuits use to help to me

mrsbekki - 94 days ago Rating: 5 (1 votes) When I had extreme sickness (throwing up ALL morning), I read if you eat something cool and light right when you get up it helps fight throwing up. I tried frozen smoothy fruit cups or apples. Its been about two weeks now and I have not thrown up since. I also eat two Tums before I eat regular meals when my stomach feels funny. Hope you start to feel better soon!
