I dressed my baby in a baby grow with vest, hats, mitts below and put a jacket on her although it was way to big... and blanket over the top of her, she was born on the 1st November - i thought more about the comfort of the baby rather than what she would look like...

Something adorable to be photographed in, and blankets to wrap them for warmth. I'm having an October baby too. :-)

It depends on the weather. Typically you dress a baby one layer more than yourself. I would definitely put a onesie on under whatever outfit you choose. It shouldn't be too cold in Oct. You could just wrap them in a blanket over their outfit. You also definitely need a hat of some sort. Most of their heat comes out through their head and feet. I would also put socks on their feet even with a footed outfit.

My little girl was born end of october and i brought her home in a onesie with sleepsuit over the top a cardigan, hat and a blanket wrapped around her once she was secured in her carseat. It's better to be prepared for cold weather, lots of layers, so you can remove some if weather is milder than normal for that time of year. I hope this has helped. Good luck. xxx

I would say the clotheing you suggested sounds just about perfect. The middle of October (depending where you live) is kind of chilly but still not extremely cold where you need several layers.

i brought both of my children a special outfit to come home in. they are now in their memories box 4 when they are older. if its going to be hot then i would keep your twins dressed quite cool but if its going to be cold then wrap them up.

I'm not sure I follow your question. Are you asking what items you need to start baby's life? or about the weather? You can find on just about any pregnancy web site great lists of checklist items you'll need for starting out. As far as weather is concerned, check the temp, and make sure you have a mix of both cool and hot weather clothes.

Depending on where you live, I wouldn't overdress either or underdress, you can be the judge of the weather, if its not too cool dress in some little pants and a light long sleeve shirt and a hat, that should work.

undershirt, sleeper, hat and blanket...if carseat has warm cover etc lose the blanket at the last minute if it is not too cold out.

Remmember babies like to stay warm...they are used to being warm inside your belly and they will even cry if they feel cold. I would just make sure they are plenty warm you realy cant overdress a newborn in cold weather. Just check their temp to make sure they are warm and not hot but you will know soon how much clothes your baby needs.

HEY THERE AGAIN!!! don't over dress them, being too hot is not a good thing. take a few of everything to the hospital with you just incase the weather changes. The nurses there will let you know if you have over dressed them or not. I had one of those fleece buntin bags in the car seat ( said its better then a snowsuit) and I had my daughter dressed in a onesie, hat, sweater, pants, socks botties.. THE WORKS and the nurse just told me to put her in a onsie and nice thin sleeper, with the buntin bag done up... this was late November with snow!!! Just make sure you have an a ssortment of things depending on weather! And go from there on that day! Hope this helps!

I always buy a special outfit to bring my babies home in. You could put them in a onesie, socks, cap and then whatever outfit you choose. I like to buy a dressy outfit, and I use it for church until they outgrow it. And then after putting them in their carseats, cover them w/ a blanket, depending on what outfit you choose, you may only need a light blanket. How exciting, that you are having 2 blessings! :o)
