Any ladies have babies of mixed race?? If so, does your baby look more like you or you partner. My Partner is coloured and my baby looks nothing like him. She looks like me.. not sure why.

lady26 - 82 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) Babies tend to be very light anyway, they will get darker the older they get.

niki - 82 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I suppose it depends on how strong the features are - my daughter looks so like her daddy but obviously is like me in other ways... we are both white but my baby does look slightly tanned but that comes from my mum.

Baby3OnWay - 83 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) it all depends on how the chromosones work themselves out! half his half yours.. baby might start to look more like him later on. My daughter looked like my hubbies twin for the first 2 years and now shes 2 1/2 and looks more like me everyday!

RandiLee - 90 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) genes are a wonderful....and odd....thing...you never know what the child is going to get from who....and how much, lol. you should be happy she looks like you!! :)

Cynlee47 - 91 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) Me and my sister are mixed. Our mom is mexican and our dad is white. I have the dark skin but my dad's features. My sister is light skinned but with my mom's features. Its crazy. Also my boyfriend son is mixed and his ex is African American his son looks just like him but he's dark like his mom.

piggycindy - 92 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) most people in my family are mixed race and I am about to have one of my own. it is interesting that non of us look the same. some of my cousin doesn't even look like their paretns at all

Mommyof2boys - 92 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) My friends baby is mixed race, and he looks just like his daddy such as eyes and nose and facial features, but very light light skin.

lizzie287 - 92 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I have 2 friends of mixed race. These two are both black/white mix. One is blonde haired, blue eyed and you'd never know she was mixed unless she told you, and the other has a VERY pale complexion with black features.

kbushby - 92 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) my son is mixed race. im a "mutt", i have spanish, finish, english, cherokee, and some other stuff in me. my boyfriend is mexican. and our son came out looking like a little mexican. he has beautiful tan skin all year round. if he didnt have my eye shape and my hair type people would think i took home the wrong baby. lol... it all depends on the genes. his family has a nose that everyone gets, so we assumed are son would get it, but nope!! he got mine, so my nose genes were stronger i guess.. we are very curious to see what this baby will look like when it comes out. i have a feeling it is going to be very fair skinned, but we will see.

mommy-of-3 - 92 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) Hi, I have two mixed boys (one more on the way) and my kids look way more like me than they do their dad. My oldest looked "white" but had more my husband's features. My youngest was a little darker but had more my features. I have no idea what to expect with this one...

MelissaJoanne - 92 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) Genetics are awesome (and yes I'm a big nerd). The "why" you mention is because of genetics. A bi-racial couple could have fraternal twins where one twin appears to be completely one race, and one twin the other race. There are dominant and recessive genes, certain features that your child could be guaranteed to have, others that are more rare and unusual. Even babies with parents of the same race may completely resemble one parent over the other. If you're really that stumped, you could see a geneticist to discover which traits you're each likely to pass on. I love that baby-making is such a science experiment! Whomever she looks more like, your daughter is beautiful.

dueoct262008 - 92 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I have 2 boys that are mixed and pregnant with my 3rd my oldest son is actually just as dark if not darker then his father then my youngest is actually whiter then me plus until age 2-3 they dont really develope their color you could have 5 children with the same person and all of them can look different

LMO - 92 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) My best friend has a mixed baby and she looks white like the mom

brandi j. - 92 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I, too, notice that most mixed babies have more of the physical characteristics of the darker parent, except maybe not as dark. Also, if one of the parents is of Asian culture, the baby will look like that parent.

gr8scottswife - 92 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I've seen mostly mixed babies look like the darker parent.
