Hello. So today, I had my first appointment =) but when they asked for a urine sample I noticed something odd. when I went to wipe, i noticed 3 LILLLL dots of blood on the tpaper (pen dot small). Later today, I wiped, but this time it wasn`t blood, but instead it was a lighhtttttt shade of red. looked nothing like blood. but shade was a FAINT FAINT red. At the appt. I asked the Dr. if this was anything to be concerned about. She said not to worry, follwed by some words, but frankly, I didn`t pay attention cause I was freaked out =( is this normal? PLEASEEEE help!!!!!!!

lady26 - 162 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) Yes, it's very normal to have spotting during pregnancy.

niki - 162 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) If the bleeding was little and extremely light then its prob nothing to be concerned about but if the bleeding becomes heavy or bright red contact the hospital asap.

rosiethemet - 163 days ago that small bleeding only last about 2 days...and it was only three dots and a couple of FAINTTTTTTTT color when i wiped. =) thanks for all of the messages!!! good luck!! =)

MelissaJoanne - 163 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) Could have been implantation bleeding, depending on how far along you are. A tiny amount of blood is normal and of no concern, especially if your doctor said it was fine.

my7thbabyduemay20th2008 - 171 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) How far are you along? bleeding can be a sign that is something is wrong, but not always, I bled with my first son at 11 weeks and I freaked out, much like yourself, the doctor said to me that if you are going to miscarry, then you will miscarry and you can either go home to bedrest or keep active, it is all up to you! Well, I went home to bedrest, and glad I did, the bleeding stopped, it was only a little bit, eventually it turned brown, and then I went onto have a normal pregnancy. Don't worry hun, there have been a lot of women who bleed and go on to have normal pregnancies like me, so keep that in mind!;)

Christina1984 - 171 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) i had that happen 2 wks ago, but it was because i passed a kidney stone. the toilet paper had a small amount of red. which was blood.if its in ur urine it is possible it is a UTI or kidney infection. i had blood in my urine for weeks and never knew cuz it couldnt be seen by the eye my doc said.

luvmyava - 171 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) Yes this is totally normal Alot of people have some bleeding in first trimester. I did and it always scares you to death. Call your Dr. though if it increases. Most of the time they arent concerned unless there is mod. to severe cramping with it

LMO - 171 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) It is normal to spot the first part of your pregnancy, so dont be worried

Baby3OnWay - 171 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) It is normal early on and you DR may have said when you weren't listening that she would send your urine into the lab to see ifyou had a bladder/kiddney infection... No worries!!

piggycindy - 171 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I spotted for a long time at first then it went away. if the spotting gets worst then that is when you should start to worry

jessicadarling - 171 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) You are barely even spotting. If your doctor says it wasn't something to worry about I would listen to her. Although if you want to know what else she said give her a call and just tell her you are still worried and ask her to explain why it is nothing to worry about

Mommyof2boys - 171 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) Its normal to spot during pregnancy some women spot the whole 40 weeks others not at all. I wouldn't worry about it.

thx4grace - 171 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I had spotting in my first trimester and it was just implantation spotting. SCARED me. And the doctor said there would be nothing they would be able to do if it was anything else. Because I was not very far along they could not even check for a heartbeat because they would not hear it. I was a wreck, but it was alright! :O)

Brandi J. - 171 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) It is normal to have spotting in the 1st trimester. But any spotting should be reported to your doc, I know you already did this, but b/c you are still having it, you should call again. Did you find out how far along you are? Is it possible that it was implantation bleeding? It could also be that this was the time that you normally would have had your cycle, some women spot some during that time. Did you make love, have a pelvic exam, a vaginal u/s? Any of these things could cause spotting as well, b/c they could irritate your cervix.

kathysbigbelly - 171 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) It is normal... I spotted off and on in my pregnancy. Spotting can be old blood that is just passing or if you had sex it can also cause you to spot a bit. You should contact your doctor if it becomes heavy like your period....

mommy-of-3 - 171 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) Did they do a transvaginal ultrasound on you at all? Or did they do a pelvic exam? Sometimes that can bring on spotting which is nothing to be concerned about.

michaela - 171 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) was your urine test ok, it could have been from your bladder, if you have an infection that can happen. If it has only been a couple of spots it isn't anything to worry about, but if you are still bleeding then i would be contacting your dr again asap.
