What is the top rated stroller/travel system? How did you pick the one you bought or registered for?

I picked the travel system because it had a car seat with it and it would have done for either a girl or boy so it will do again...

I think it really depends on your lifestyle for the stroller. If you are out and about a lot you might want something a little lighter and portable, will it fit easily into your vehicle, do you run? if so, you might want to look at a running stroller. Also important is if you will be walking on trails or sidewalks. You may need larger or smaller wheels depending on the terrain. Just some things to keep in mind!

I have a safety 1st one.....not sure what model, it was a gift from my mother. It's absolutely beautiful, but it is really large, since it's a 3 in 1... But also quite pricey.
I also suggest that you look on babiesrus.com....that's where I get all my information on what's best to buy.

I am registering for the Chicco Cortina travel system that comes with a KeyFit 30. It was easy to fold and the car seat was highly rated with Consumer Reports. It's one of only a few (the car seat)that will hold baby up to 30 lbs. I thought about getting just a frame like lindamc, but I wanted more of a sunshade than just what comes on the car seat. Plus I didn't want to use an umbrella stroller later b/c most of them don't have large baskets underneath and don't fully recline (good for sleeping and changing).

I don't know if all stores do this but I shop online Wal-mart all the time and they have where actual consumers rate the products and are able to give feedback about what they liked or didn't like about the product.

I bought a grago snugride then just bought the stroller frame. My husband and I both wanted a smaller sized stroller, and none of the travel systems were small enough. The frame is so lightweight, and easy to put in and an out of the car. We've taken it to the beach and everything. I highly recommend it for someone looking for an alternative to the clunky travel systems. After my baby has better neck control we are just going to get a chico umbrella type stroller... then get a jogging one from craigslist! Good luck, I wore myself out trying to find a stroller! :)

I have the Bugaboo Gecko and love it! You can get the graco or peg preggo car seat adaptor for it, it comes with a bassinet, and then the seat for when their older. Babiesrus has a great stroller selection. A lot depends on how much you want to spend and getting the best quality for your money. The bugaboo is a splurge but I think it was worth every cent!

i made sure that it was light and easy, that I could attach the car seat to it for when they are smaller and can't quite sit in the stroller without supprt (as its not good for them) and I made sure there was storage space in the bottom for diaper bag, few toys or groceries if I had to pick up a few... a nice cup holder for me and the child, as well as a try to put some snacks on there when they got older.... OH and that it folds up nice and easy for easy storage or for the trunk HOPE THIS HELPS!!!!
