hi every1 i gave birth to my daughter 6weeks ago via c-section,ever since then i`ve been getting sharp pains through my whole stomich,my scar has only just healed but is still very sore from the cut to half way up my belly... been doing light excersize on my abs and noticed wat feels like a lot of bruising in my lower abs... has any1 had this after a ceaser? could i have pulled somrthing through excersize and is the shooting pains related to nerve damage?

lady26 - 164 days ago Rating: 5 (2 votes) Wait till you are heal fully before you do any abs workout

Baby3OnWay - 165 days ago Rating: 4 (1 votes) lay off the exercise for awhile... may do more harm then good... also could just be a build in scar tissue, friend of mine said hers was sensative for awhile

MelissaJoanne - 166 days ago Rating: 4 (1 votes) It sounds like it's probably too early to be exercising. Give yourself some time off to heal.

RandiLee - 172 days ago Rating: 2.5 (2 votes) Yeah, I would lay off the excerise...just for a bit.

xxdeexx - 173 days ago Rating: 3 (1 votes) I had a c/s with Kieran and yes for awhile i had sharp pains that were very painful. For me is was like having a bad stitch

thx4grace - 173 days ago Rating: 3.5 (2 votes) Girl, wait til your tummky is healed! Are you breastfeeding? Let that be enough for now. I pushed myself wasy too hard after my c-section. Take it easy. I do remember the pains. I am sorry...

mommy-of-3 - 173 days ago Rating: 3.5 (2 votes) My best friend had 3 c-sections and she said the same thing, I think it's pretty normal because it takes a lot longer to heal this way than vaginally.

michaela - 173 days ago Rating: 4.5 (2 votes) Congrats on the birth of your daughter! I would speak to your dr about this just to be on the safe side. Only do light chores and stick to all over exercises instead of doing abs until you get th all clear from your dr. Itprobably is just your scar tissue healing but be very careful as you don't want it to heal badly. All the best. xx

LMO - 174 days ago Rating: 2.5 (2 votes) getting a c-section is traumatic to your body it will take a little while to heal

nikola212 - 174 days ago Rating: 4.5 (2 votes) first off congrats! i just had one too 5 weeks ago and i had the same thing. the dr. said it was normal, its because when they pulled the baby out they had to stretch that area and it still is a little bruised. plus it is pretty tramatic on your body, and it usually takes up to a full 12 weeks to heal. Hope that helped!
