Hi, I am 22 weeks in my first pregnancy. Some days my baby moves a ton and some days hardly at all. Should I be concerned at this point. When should we be feeling it every day?

It's still early to be having strong and constant movement. It will get more constant around 26wks

That is very normal for 22 weeks. It's not until later that you will feel baby more regularly.

At this stage the baby still has bags of room in there. You won't feel his/her movements if they aren't big gestures; if they are kicking toward your back or if they are kicking into the placenta, at this stage, and especially if your placenta is anterior (to the front). You may not feel it everyday or regularly through the day until you are as late as 31 weeks.

Babies have lazy days like us and active days like us. No need to worry.

I wouldn't worry, I went through the same thing right around the same time and it is completely normal. I think it's around 28 weeks where they tell you to monitor the movements.

I wouldn't be too concerned at this point because you are still early. The Dr. will let you know usually when you need to start kick counting. If you want to ease your mind bring it up to the Dr. the next time you see him/her. Congrats and good luck!!

I also had that concern when i was expecting the health visitor advised me to take note of how many times i felt the baby kick....(kick chart) every baby is different my wee lady came to life at night and i hardly felt movement through the day... as the baby gets bigger you will feel it. Try not to worry too much

I didnt really feel my baby until about 28 weeks. Thats when I believe you need to start kick counting. Any changes that you feel weird about, consult your dr. If a mother has an instinct that something is wrong, she's usually right.

I don't really remember when I started to feel mine everyday but I would be too worried since you are still kinda early in your pregnancy. .it might be moving around when your sleeping too and you might not realize it

Second time pregnancies can be different than the first with movements as long as you are feeling something, I wouldn't worry. The baby is still real small right now.

Your fine! I just had my first baby 3 months ago and I worried about everything. If you are getting worried about not feeling your baby move, eat or drink something sugary, or push around on your belly to get it to move. It's perfectly normal to have very active and less active days....a baby is human just like us, and we have active days and less active days. Just relax and enjoy your pregnancy!

Movements will be sporatic for at least another couple weeks they say (but everyone is different) ... If by week 28 you're still not feeling at least 10 movements per day, that could signal a problem. But until then, the baby is still pretty small so you may not feel as much.
