i am 17(just about 18) wks pregnant, i get my first ultra sound in 2 days..is it too early to tell the gender?

RandiLee - 578 days ago Rating: 3 (1 votes) They say they can see the gender at 18-20 weeks....It depends on the mother, where the placenta is, and of course if your baby is going to be cooperative, and not hide their 'special area' lol.

klasnaya - 579 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) Its possible but i wouldnt trust it. It could be early. Lots of women that were told at 17 weeks go back and have diffrent at 20 weeks. My doc wont tell you unless your at least 19 weeks cuz she doesnt wanna dissapoint anyone.

They usually scan around 19 weeks for gender so I would say you will most likely be able to find out the gender. Unless your baby is like mine was and won't open his or her legs. Always remember that is a possibility.

my7thbabyduemay20th2008 - 579 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) No hun, it is not too early, the best time to see gender in a baby, is from 18 weeks pregnancy, sometimes it can be seen earlier, depending on the skill of the sonographer, and the position of the baby.

kbushby - 579 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) nope.. i found out with my son at 17 weeks, and i just had an u/s yesterday with this baby(im 18 weeks tomorrow) and we are almost sure its a girl. the u/s machine is old so it was hard to see, but you can definetely tell by now.. good luck, i hope your baby cooperates!
