Does anyone else have rabbits or chinchillas? I am wondering how having a new (crying) baby in the house is gonna affect my furry family members.

MelissaJoanne - 1382 days ago Rating: 4 (1 votes) fur babies and human babies generally get along very well. I'm sure that the bunnies will accept their new human sibling with time.

lady26 - 1383 days ago Rating: 1 (2 votes) I am sure they will be ok

Baby3OnWay - 1383 days ago Rating: 4 (1 votes) rabbit acted normal to crying but not around small child... acted a little weird but nothing to worry about

lmo - 1390 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) my mom has a rabbit and it was never bothered by my daughters crying

LilMrsK - 1391 days ago Rating: 4 (1 votes) I have a houseful of critters of all kinds. As long as you are patient and teach the furbabies how to react, all is fine. As far as bunnies and chins go, they seem to be just fine as long as they are caged in the beginning.

Bri - 1391 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I have four chinchillas. The funny thing is one gave birth the month after Kekoa was born! They are doing great. Kekoa loves to pet the chins too. The best part is now he has a pet of his own that he can grow with. HAHA! He will be a teenager when Pebbles gets old.

buttons - 1391 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I have rabbits and guineapigs and they are all ok with a new baby in the house, the main problem with babies and pets seems to be making sure the animals dont get neglected as you can get so caught up with your bub!

mommy-of-3 - 1391 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I have a rabbit but it is kept in a cage at all times so I'm not worried about her acting out or anything. She seemed to do well when we got our noisy dog so I'm sure the crying won't be much different lol.

gr8scottswife - 1391 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I would be more concerned that they would munch on the baby. Remember the story about that ferrett that ate part of a baby?

totallykatalicious - 1391 days ago Rating: 3 (1 votes) All animals react different.

Mommyof2boys - 1391 days ago Rating: 4 (1 votes) I think all animals can sense a new human in the house and each animal reacts differently, some may not do anything unusual at all and others can have fits. Try to play a record of a baby crying to get them use to it.
