maybe this is not a good question to ask, hopefully no one will be offended. i am just about 24 weeks and i have noticed stuff coming from my nipples, mainly the left one. its a brownish tanish color and dries up on the end in little ball like clusters. when i take a shower it goes away and then i get a little more. i have the most when i wake up in the morning. its gross. dont remember this with the 1st pregnancy. what could it be? isnt it too early for discharge or milk? sorry for being graphic

It's colostrum, your breasts preparing to make milk

Sound like its colostrum - first milk the body will produce some people experience this sooner than others. Heat will cause the milk to leak i found that too when i was bathing. Hope this has been helpful in someway. Stock up on those breast pads girl. x

Its normal it sounds like its colostrum. Colostrum is the first stage of breast milk that occurs during pregnancy and lasts for several days after the birth of the baby. It is either yellowish or creamy in color. It is also much thicker than the milk that is produced later in breastfeeding. Colostrum is high in protein, fat-soluble vitamins, minerals, and immunoglobulins. Immunoglobulins are antibodies that pass from the mother to the baby and provide passive immunity for the baby. Passive immunity protects the baby from a wide variety of bacterial and viral illnesses. Two to four days after birth, colostrum will be replaced by transitional milk.

Same as everyone else is saying....colostrum...or so I have heard/read.
I'm actually pretty jealous...I'm at 32 weeks, and haven't seen anything!!

It is most likely colestrum. It can start leaking early. Just buy some breast pads. It is the first food you feed the baby if you breast feed. It is very high in nutrients and antibodies.

24 weeks - you're lucky!! I'm 14 weeks, and two nights ago I was changing and my husband pointed out that I had something on my nipple, to which I yelled "Good Lord, already!!!???". It's colostrum. I try to look at it positively, and figure that I won't have a problem breastfeeding.

This sounds like Colostrum and many pregnant women get this before the baby is born. Some just get it sooner than others, and likewise some get it a little heavier than others. You have nothing to be concerned about, if it starts to get heavy you may want to wear breast pads to stay dry.

SOunds like your breasts are geearing up to feed the little one. It isn't exactly milk but the precursor to milk- colostrum. Sounds pretty normal.

I get that right now and its more of a yellowy brownish colour (hay colour) and it is colostrum. My mother leaked FULLY with all her pregnancies. As long as they aren't dry and itchy I think you will be fine. I know you can get a yeast infection on nipples and around/under your boobies but I dought thats your prob! Take care!
