Went to the doctore today for my spotting it seems that we lost the baby`s heartbeat and it stopped growing a few days ago I have to go in Monday to be set up for a D&C but I thank all of you for your help and your prayers.

Melanie07 - 91 days ago Rating: 2 (1 votes) Why are they scheduling a D&C? If you have mc, it will clear itself out. I would wait and get a second opinion. You are not far enough along to hear the heartbeat every time. If it is a mc, I am very sorry.

If you have lost your baby, and I am deeply saddened to hear it, allow nature to prepare you for another, not the docs with a D&C. Just having a quiet private miscarriage at home is far 'nicer' than a D&C at hospital. But, as I said, I was told I'd lost our baby but he was still there!, despite so much bleeding and them not seeing a heartbeat or a clearly defined embryo yet he is out with his Dad dismanteling old plastic chairs at our 'church' as I type! Come what may, don't lose heart whatever you choose or whatever proves to be. Thinking of you xxx

Natos - 91 days ago Rating: 3.6 (5 votes) My dear would you PLEASE consider getting a second opinion. Repeat the US after 3 days in another place. about 2 wks ago. I went and did an ultrasound and the doctors couldnt see the foetus in d sac and no heartbeat. So she tell me dat d baby stop growing at 6 wks but d sac continue to grow and it is 9 wks. So since dey cant c d foetus they have to do a D and C and take out everything from inside me. Needless to say i was wild with grief about the loss and fear about doing such an operation. I was 99% sure dat we did lose the baby. And i had only 1% chance in my mind dat dey made a mistake. Because even i couldnt see the foetus in d ultrasound picture. So we say before we decide anything we will do another ultrasound and get a second opinion. So two days later we went to a far more expensive place and did it over. The machines were also more advanced. Allah took dat 1% and changed it into 100%. Alhamdulillah (praise be to Allah) we saw d foetus and it even had a heartbeat. It was pulsing wid the heartbeat as though it jumping up and down waving wateva it hav as arms shouting, "Look ah here doh kill meh!" You wont believe the joy and relief we felt alhamdulillah. So dis is our miracle baby. I cant gaurantee that it will be the same for you but at least you will feel better if you get another opinion and is certain. Spotting is normal around this week because the umbilicle chord or placenta is forming and some menbranes may break and cause a little spotting. My aunt was bleeding HEAVILY in her 1st pregnancy and they wanted to do a d and c and she went another place n did over the ultrasound and they saw the baby holding on by just a thread and they made her lie down with 10 pillows below her feet n lowered her head. Throughout the pregnancy she bled but in the end she had the baby and he is now 16 years. I know my post seem long but im trying to show you dont give up. Be ABSOLUTELY SURE because doctors can and do make mistakes.
