hi ladies I am currently 38 weeks preggo and all my recent antenatal appointments are 2 weeks apart - at 36 weeks my baby was laid head down, head on the brim of my pelvis facing my right hip and at 38 weeks he`s exactly the same but facing my left hip.. Ive been told that the baby`s position for labour is ideal head down with his back to the front of my bump, is this something that happens whilst you are in the final weeks or does the baby spin this way whilst you are in labour? I hope you can help because my next appointment isn`t until my due date - 7th may, thanks in advance xxx

niki - 84 days ago Rating: 3 (2 votes) Theres still time for the baby to turn.

lady26 - 84 days ago Rating: 3.7 (3 votes) I heard somtimes the baby turn during labour

MelissaJoanne - 84 days ago Rating: 2.3 (3 votes) check out www.spinningbabies.com for great info on baby positioning.

lmo - 88 days ago Rating: 1.5 (2 votes) he can change or he can stay like he is

Brandi J. - 89 days ago Rating: 2 (1 votes) My 2nd baby was born "sunny side up" or facing up. We didn't even know this until he was born. I pushed twice and he was out, I didn't require any stitches. I was in the classic laying on the back, legs up in the air position.

Baby3OnWay - 89 days ago Rating: 2.3 (3 votes) My daughter was actually facing completely up when I was in labor and just when I hit 10cm she did a complete 180 and turned for me... not a big concern as in labour they can help the baby make that turn!! Good Luck

Mommyof2boys - 90 days ago Rating: 2 (1 votes) 95% of babies will get into position by them selfs in time for labor.

lindamc - 90 days ago Rating: 2 (1 votes) my baby was face up right until near her birth... she turned herself around

Christina1984 - 90 days ago Rating: 2 (1 votes) i believe they end up in the proper position right before birth, they should turn themselves

mommy-of-3 - 90 days ago Rating: 2 (1 votes) I've heard that they generally position themselves about a week or two before labor but that they can also change in an instant during actual delivery so it's hard to say.

gr8scottswife - 90 days ago Rating: 2 (1 votes) They get ready before labor.
