OK, FALSE LABOR??? I`m getting a lil freaked out. Uhm, I`ve been having these reallllllly bad cramps, Started bleeding on the honey moon, They said it was just from having sex. I quit spotting and then started spotting a few nights later, After NOT having sex AT ALL....I swear I think the docs. here are complete crocks. The first time I called them complaining of these cramps they told it My PLACENTA IS PISSED B/C I`M NOT EATING ENOUGH, Then they told me it`s because I`m not drinking enough, Well, I eat CONSTANTLY! and I DRINK WAAAAAY More than I eat. So it`s impossible to be hungry or dehydrated. I`ve been having contractions and they are picking up on their monitor at the hospital but, They are telling me it`s not labor just my placenta is mad b/c I`m pretty much neglecting it which is total bullshit. As a matter of fact it`s 11:31 pm and I just got finished eating a big plate of sketti! Anywhoo. Is anyone else going threw this??? Cramping and all, Discharge is a lot more than it ever was, and I hurt so bad sometimes I can`t WALK AT ALLLLLLL.....It hurts to just move my legs when I`m laying down. They keep telling me this isn`t early labor but, Something`s wrong and they only thing they are doing is sticking there finger in my cooter and walking away or sticking a dip stick in my pee for a UTI test. I`m really getting pisssed with my docs. I wish I could switch but, it`s too late in pregnancy. Some one tell me what you think I should be doing........... Thank you alot!!!!!!! Newly wed pissed off mama to be!!!!!!!!!! lol.

Brandy1985 - 88 days ago Thank you all for your Answers!!!!!!

lmo - 89 days ago Rating: 2.8 (4 votes) It could be braxton hicks contractions but if you dont trust your doctors then go to a different doctor and get a second opinion it never hurts.

gr8scottswife - 90 days ago Rating: 2.8 (4 votes) Get a second doctor's opinion even if you don't actually transfer to the other doctor.

ashleyandcaleb - 90 days ago Rating: 2.3 (3 votes) I agree with these ladies,I never knew braxton hicks could hurt until recently.I swear sometimes its early labor!

Brandi J. - 90 days ago Rating: 2.3 (3 votes) It could be your "show", but I thought that w/ my 2nd baby, and after he was born, thankfully healthy, the doc found that my placenta was starting to seperate. I was also having lots of painful contractions but nothing was happening. So get checked out, tell them your concerns and ask for an u/s. This will help put your mind at ease.

Baby3OnWay - 90 days ago Rating: 3 (3 votes) HAHA I had a lot of troubles with pain and the Dr's with my last pregnancy. Are you dilated or effeced at all?? I would say that you may just be having really strong braxton hicks contractions or early labor and the leg ains could be the baby faceing the opposite way causing back labor or its just laying on a nerve. Its hard to really tell though as I am not a Dr but from my experience with this I would say if you are dilated already it may possible be early labor, I know you say you drink and eat alot, they always told em to drink lots of water, and thats all I drank.. i would drink until I thought I was goign to puke cause the pain was so bad. Take some tylenol and have a warm bath as I found that helps with the pain. Good Luck and keep us posted!

Mommyof2boys - 91 days ago Rating: 3 (3 votes) I have never heard of a placenta being "mad". If you are having serious cramping and contractions are showing up but they must not be regular if they sent you home from the hospital, you could also be experiencing braxton hicks you know the false labor pains that feel like the real deal but isn't. A lot of women also complain about the leg pains not being able to walk or hurting when you are laying down moving your legs, thats all ligamits streching getting ready for labor, the baby could also be sitting lower on your pelvic making it hard to walk and sending the pains through your muscles. Doctors/nurses can be jerks but they usualy are pretty good at what they do so just follow along with what they say eating regularly drinking lots of water and resting, if you start having the contractions every 5mins or so lasting then I would go back to the hospital to get checked, have they checked your cirvex? good luck!

Christina1984 - 91 days ago Rating: 2.7 (3 votes) i think u should slap those docs. how far along are u and did they do a U/S on ur kidneys? i went to the hospital a couple weeks back and i swore i was in premature labor, i had such bad cramps and stuff like that. severe back pain. it turned out i had kidney stones. i think they should check u a little better. thats complete bull that u r neglecting ur placenta. tell them to get their ass into gear and do and ultrasound and whatever else. good luck i hope things get better for u

mommy-of-3 - 91 days ago Rating: 2.3 (3 votes) It's good that they checked you out so you know that you're not in actual labor. These might be Braxton Hicks which even though they are "practice contractions" they can still be quite painful. When I was about 8 months along with my oldest I thought for sure I was going into labor, I had a friend drive me to the hospital and I kept tensing up the whole way dealing with what I knew had to be contractions. Needless to say they ended up being Braxton Hicks and I couldn't beleive how strong they were. It may be too late to switch your doctor, but it's never too late to get a second opinion possibly at a different clinic?

mommauv4 - 91 days ago Rating: 3 (3 votes) Braxton Hicks contractions can be painful. If you are not dilating and you know you don't have a UTI then I guess the doc's don't worry too much. But... if you really think something is wrong then keep making a fuss. It isn't normal for it to hurt to move your legs when you are laying down... you may have a pinched nerve and there may be nothing they can do but at least acknowledging this could help. All of our pregnancy pains are not about labour some of them are just the stress put on our muscles and joints.

Melanie07 - 91 days ago Rating: 2.7 (3 votes) I would get a second opinion. If it is not labor, you could have some sort of infection. It could also be Braxton Hicks contractions. They can hurt. They are practice contractions. They are not harmful but, can hurt. Usually they tell you to lay on your left side and drink a glass or two of water and see if it stops or slows the contractions down. Even if you are drinking a lot of fluids you can still get dehydrated easily. Try and relax and see if you can see another doc. It doesn't matter if you are so far along. A better doc is a lot better than one you know that doesn't listen to you.

captshelley - 91 days ago Rating: 2.3 (4 votes) Well they are checking your cervix and there must not be any dilation so it might not be early labor. The UTI test is negative so that's not causing contractions. If your really scared about this then I would go to another hospital for a different opinion. Discharge is a normal part of pregnancy no matter when or how much. If your losing your mucus plug then that's normal too. Painful contractions can happen for weeks before delivery. You know your body better than anyone so get yourself a second opinion if you really think this could be the real thing. Happy Honeymooning!
