In between her little meals, give her milk. Then you can be sure she's getting all of her vitamins & nutrients.

You should still give her breastmilk for liquids even though you are giving solids its still okay for the milk. You can alternate them throughout the day.

Give her breastmilk whenever she wants it. It should still be what she gets the most nutrician from. Slowly add each new food. Each baby is different in how much they take. She will slow down on how much on her own.

i have heard that after she eats see if she wants it. Just make sure she eats her solids first.

I was advised at 4 months to start off with one feeding a day. I started witht he rice cereal in the evening and then at 5 months cereal( pablum) in the morning and evening... I switches the kinds every other week to get them use to other flavours. Then i plan on introducing veggies at lunch! Right now my son is drinking 8oz every 4 hours still but I am sure they will get longer apart once the veggies start at 6 months.

The new recommendation in Canada is to start babies on solids at 6 months and then only start one new food at a time- give about a week between introducing new things. It is important to give them time to see how their tummies tolerate the new food. Some foods cause rashes, tummy aches, gas and possibly constipation. You do not need to give her juice if you are breastfeeding she really should be getting her fluid from you. You still breastfeed her based on when you think she is telling you she is hungry. But definitely between solid feedings a baby this young is unlikely to get a lot from solid foods yet as she may well have trouble digesting them. Sort of looks similar when it comes out in most cases. Best of luck!

Whenever she wants it. Offer if she doesn't ask, and she'll let you know.

Oh really it's when ever you want to feed her really. It's up to you. From now on your body wont be producing enough anitbodies to cover her anyway ( that slows at 6 mths) but it's still a good hydration for her, and it's good for your body's ability to get back into shape. So weening is up to you at the speed and frequency you desire ( which may be different to your baby) But there is nothing to say that you can't feed her whenever SHE wants. Your "flow" will generally sort it out naturally. :-) HOpe that helps

I would offer her the breast in between the solid food and she will let you know if she doesn´t want any. You will see the more solid food she eats the less she will want breastmilk over time. It takes a few months for babies to wean off breastmilk altogether and maybe in the end you will only be giving maybe one feed a day, usually before bedtime.

Once they start eating solids their milk intake will cut back a little bit, but it depends on how much solids they are getting. I would just keep offering milk in addition to what you are doing, when baby is "full" she will let you know. Good luck! (You can also consult your pediatrician about this.)

Personally I just fed whenever they wanted it. I really had no rules when it came to breastfeeding. I dont know if it was right or wrong but that's what I did. I breastfed for 15months, 2 years, and then 10 months. Good luck with it. Probably best to ask your maternal and child health nurse.
