Horrible back pain, I think it`s my ribs

Does anyone know of any way to relieve pain in the back from your ribs? It`s basically right next to my spine and it is KILLING ME. I can`t stand, sit, lay - nothing makes it better except HARD pressure to the spot that hurts. Is this my rib being pushed out? Is it normal to occur at 23 wks?

niki - 80 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I say a back rub and a position you feel comfy in.

MelissaJoanne - 83 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) Warm bath and as many pillows as you can come up with

joyfulnoise - 84 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) Talk to your doctor about options for relief. Maybe some heat to relax the area & regular massaging of the area would do the trick.

Mommyof2boys - 87 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) Take a warm bath and some tylenol.

mommy-of-3 - 87 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I have this same problem and the only way I get relief is to get a backrub from my hubby and have him put pressure against it. You can also try taking Tylenol for the pain.

RandiLee - 87 days ago Rating: 4 (1 votes) If it is up by your rib cage, it could be a sciatic nerve....that's what i have..it's pretty common during pregnancy....it's sooo annoying. it really hurts, and nothing takes it away. I deal with it by taking tylenol, and getting my boyfriend to give me a massage...it at least takes the pain away while he's doing it. If it was your kidneys, it would be lower than your ribs. And if it is by your kidneys, did you have a UTI that maybe never went away? because sometimes the infection can spread to your kidneys...

nich-vegas-mommy2be - 87 days ago I am thinking it wouldn't be a kidney problem, I gave a urine sample at the doctor on Friday and they didn't mention any problems.

Baby3OnWay - 87 days ago Rating: 4 (1 votes) First off thats what happens with a kidney infection as well... not sure if it could be that or it could just be the position of your baby on a nerve, the way the baby is sitting. When this happened to me I would drink lots of water, take tylenol, lay on my left side with pillows between my legs. Try this out it may work for you.. best of luck!

lizzie287 - 87 days ago Rating: 4 (1 votes) I have the exact same pain - sounds close to kidneys, but it's not, there's nothing wrong with my kidneys ;) The only way I get relief is actually by laying straight out on my back with my feet elevated. That or a few visits to the chiropractor. The baby will tell you if you're hurting her air supply by laying on your back and you'll get really uncomfortable.

lmo - 87 days ago Rating: 3 (1 votes) could be a kidney infection drink cranberry juice and lots of water

slg3233 - 87 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I have sort of the same thing. But it's not my back, it's my front right up under my right breast. Should I be worried too? Thank you nich for asking this question because I was sitting here wondering if I should go to the doctor or not myself.

Christina1984 - 87 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) thats how my kidney stones started out at 21 weeks and then the pain moved and it was severe cramps. nothing relieved the pain until the doc gave me meds

nich-vegas-mommy2be - 87 days ago Mid to upper back area.

mommauv4 - 87 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) This could also be a kidney infection if you are describing the place I think you are. Anyways do you have a fever or chills? It would probably be a good idea to get to the dr fairly soon to get this checked out.
