Is pregnancy safe for women with Crohn’s disease? Research has shown that the course of pregnancy and delivery is usually not impaired in women with Crohn’s disease. Even so, women with Crohn’s disease should discuss the matter with their doctors before pregnancy. Most children born to women with Crohn’s disease are unaffected. Children who do get the disease are sometimes more severely affected than adults, with slowed growth and delayed sexual development in some cases. hope this info helps

My step mom has chrones and her doctor said it wouldn't be good for her to get pregnant because of how bad she had it, she didn't have anything removed but it wasn't at the point where he thought it was a good idea for her to have children.

I have ulcerative colitis, and I have two friends on my page with crohns (I know that one at least had surgery). Message me - I can let you know who they are, I'm sure they wouldn't mind chatting about it. It's been nice finding a few people with similar health/pregnancy issues.

Just before I got pregnant the Dr was setting me up for a colonoscopy to actually check me for crohns disease and then decided to wait until after to check. I still have IBS symptoms... even though it may not be that, and I have pains when I go here and there. I don't think there would be any HUGE concerns or else my Dr wouldn't take the risk of waiting till after I had the baby. Good Luck
P.S. I had a laproscopy a few years before my first, had no problems except my scares stretching and being really itchy if that helps any TAKE CARE
