I found out my baby died April 16th. Had a D&C done on the 18th. Dr. said I would bleed for a week. I am still bleeding. Is this normal? Is the bleeding AF or from the D&C still?

TommyGirl - 91 days ago Rating: 4 (1 votes) my baby's heart stopped beating at 10 wks, had a d&c done a week later. after the procedure i didnt bleed at all. so maybe you need to go back to your doctor for a check up. good luck!

Melanie07 - 95 days ago Rating: 4 (1 votes) Sorry for your loss. As long as you are not passing big clots, everything should be fine. They told me if I was passing clots the size of quarters or bigger to call. Some people just take longer to stop the bleeding. If you are concerned, you can always call and ask the doc. That is what they are there for.

MelissaJoanne - 97 days ago Rating: 3 (1 votes) Check with your doctor, but it does sound normal.

lady26 - 97 days ago Rating: 4 (2 votes) Some people bleed alittle longer than others but I would check with my doctor

lmo - 100 days ago Rating: 3 (1 votes) a friend of mine had a d&c done and she bleed for a month and she had severe cramps the bleeding was so heavy that tampons werent holding it so she had to use both pads and tampons if you start having other symptoms you need to see your doctor. sorry for your loss

emo - 100 days ago Rating: 4 (1 votes) When I had a D&C two years ago, I bled for almost 3 weeks. I had severe cramping. It was like I had a heavy period for the entire time. I used pads for 2 weeks and then switched to tampons. I thought there was something wrong too, but if the clots are smaller than a dime and you're not filling a pad in an hour, you'll be fine. Some of us lucky women are bleeders. If you start having diarreah, fever, and excrutiating cramps, go into the doctor and have them check it out. When I had my daughter they told me that I would bleed for up to two months, I bled two months and 2 days. Give the nurse at your doctor's office and call and see if they feel you should come in though!

Mommyof2boys - 101 days ago Rating: 3 (1 votes) I would call and let your doctor know, there could be something going on that needs meds to stop. So sorry for your loss!

Baby3OnWay - 101 days ago Rating: 3 (1 votes) FIRST OF ALL I WOULD LIKE TO SEND MY LOVE AND SAY I AM TRULY SORRY TO HEAR OF YOUR LOSS. If you are still bleeding a lot, have clots... I would go in and speak with your DR. A friend of mine had to go on meds to help stop the bleeding after D&C a year ago... everything has been fine since though.

mommauv4 - 101 days ago Rating: 3 (1 votes) If you are still bleeding quite a bit you should see your dr. if only to make sure things are okay. If only a little bit, as in spotting, it should stop soon. Usually it only last for about 10-14 days.

ashleyandcaleb - 101 days ago Rating: 2 (1 votes) im so sorry V_V

mommy-of-3 - 101 days ago Rating: 3 (1 votes) I didn't have a d&C with my miscarriage but I can tell you that I did bleed for almost 2 weeks before it completely stopped. I think it's normal that you are still bleeding, it can also take a while for your cycle to become regular again.

jaydsmom - 101 days ago Rating: 4 (1 votes) I bled for over 2 weeks after a d&c. I wouldn't be too concerned yet. I am so sorry about your loss... I know exactly how you feel :o( Good luck TTC!!

wildberry - 101 days ago Rating: 3 (1 votes) it could still be from the D&C if your bleeding has not slowed i would your doc i'm sorry about your loss hon )))hugs(((
