Just curious - when did other moms-to-be start looking into daycare and things like this? I`m worried about looking like a total spaz going into daycares pregnant and asking questions. Also, any Canadian moms care to share a ballpark figure of what they pay for daycare?

niki - 78 days ago Rating: 3 (1 votes) Havent looked into daycare i hope to work around my husbands working week.

MelissaJoanne - 82 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I'd say to start researching asap, check into what other moms in the area have found to be reputable daycare companies.

lady26 - 82 days ago Rating: 5 (1 votes) 7 months

MommaD - 85 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) We have a daycare at the hospital I work. I put my baby on the waiting list as soon as I found out I was pregnant! Most daycares have waiting lists for infants, you better get started!

joyfulnoise - 85 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I have never used daycare, but I think you're perfectly fine starting your search as soon as you feel comfortable. Good luck!

lmo - 85 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) well i was lucky my mother in law watched my daughter and then a few months ago she went to see her other son who lives in another state for 2 months so i had to stick my daughter in day care even though she is 3 i was still really nervous i cried the first day i dropped her off. you never know now days with all the crazys in the world. i would go a couple weeks before you have the baby so tha tyou can be prepared

Mommyof2boys - 86 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I would start looking a few weeks before you start back to work, you def. need time to find one you are comfy with and one you think your baby will be comfy with. good luck!

Baby3OnWay - 86 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I am a canadian mommy.. ON and I hear the prices are more at centers then they are for woman who have in home day care. I hear to start looking 3-6 months prior to getting just in case they place you want has a wait list. I hear of people her ein London ON paying anywhere from 150-300 a week!! INSANE. I am greatful to have my mom do the sitting while I worked and go back to school, good luck and happy hunting!

newmommy01 - 86 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) Im 23 weeks and i have been looking in to it for a couple of weeks now. I want to know what is out there what is the best for my little one. you dont want to be scrambling around after the baby is here. So i say keep looking into it. Good luck.

mommy-of-3 - 86 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) You shouldn't feel silly asking about daycare while pregnant. As for when you should consider it, there are some moms who put their babies into daycare right away, others wait a fair amount of time it all depends on the individual and what makes you feel most comfortable.

jaydsmom - 86 days ago Rating: 5 (1 votes) It's OK to ask questions to daycares while still pregnant. Some places have a huge waiting list depending on where you live, so you may want your name on them soon. I live in Ontario atm, and average around here is $25-$40/day. Private at home unlicensed care is the cheapest at $25/day but they will rarely give you a receipt. Daycares range in the $40/day are if you have an infant. I am moving to BC in July and have found the prices there to be very similar.

Melanie07 - 86 days ago Rating: 4 (1 votes) Daycares are used to pregnant women coming in to check them out. Some places even have waiting lists. You should start looking as soon as you can. A daycare is a very import decision. You should not take it lightly. These people will be caring for your most precious part of your life. Make sure you find one that will let you come in anytime you want without an appoinment. That way they can't "prepare" for your inspection. Good Luck!!

Meleddy - 86 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) My neighbor knows i am trying and she told me that the daycare centers around my home have a 2year waiting list... so i am definetly going to look like the "spaz" looking as soon as i am 4months pregnant.

wildberry - 86 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) no worries i would do the same thing i ran a day care for a bit and had a pregnant woman came in to interview me i thought it was great that she was thinking ahead for her baby

Christina1984 - 86 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) my daughter isnt in daycare but i worked at one and it is very common for pregnant moms to go in and have tours
