Baby won't move steadily. It will be gradual, some days a lot of movement, others not as much.

The movements get more steady and constant the further you are in your pregnancy. You are not that far long to be have constant movements.

The best thing to do is to keep a chart I used to worry that bubs hadn't moved much but when I looked back at my chart i realised it had actually moved more than I had realised and was establishing a pattern. My last bub also went from being active during the day to being active at night when I was asleep, I only noticed because he started kicking my ribs hard enough to wake me up !! FYI he kept up that pattern of waking at night time when he was born. Start a chart for your peace of mind if your really concerned go into the hospital and ask for a heart rate monitor to put your mind at ease.

I wouldn't worry, you aren't that far along towards the end you should start doing the kick count, stomachs can grow fast and slow its all different for everyones body. good luck!

You're still sooo early in your pregnancy...I wouldn't worry too much.....I was the same way when I was around 18 weeks....I was a complete psycho...Always thinking something was wrong.

it is normal not to feel that baby a whole lot in early pregnancy drink some caffinee and you should feel the baby do something and if you are still worried it is ok to make a doctors appointment

first how far along are you? this is a lovely trick that my midwife taught me have a small snack preferably something with protein and carbs like crackers and cheese and then drink a soda lay down for half an hour to forty five minutes you will probably get some wiggles but if you are really worried than go in your paying for this baby and that includes some peace of mind

You don't need to worry--this is very normal for so early on. You won't start looking for regular movement until 24 weeks or so and first your Dr will tell you to look for a pattern of movement before you start noting if it's happening every day. She also told me that some people don't get regular movement until 32 weeks. I freaked out at 18 weeks and went for a non-stress test after not feeling him move for four days. The baby was fine--moving all over the place and kicking like crazy. The tech showed me how his movements weren't even close to hitting the sides of my uterus yet--and my boy is measuring at least a week ahead! She told me to stop freaking out and sent me home. I'm happy I had the test done because I got to see him and it made me feel better, but it isn't necessary yet. If you want reassurance, try calling your Dr and see if they will let you come in to hear the heartbeat. Best of luck, I'm sure everything is fine.

This is normal for this early in your pregnancy. It means nothing. When you should be worried is after 25 weeks if you are not regularly feeling anything. Remember that your baby is still pretty small right now, so he/she is moving, but you may not be able to feel it all the time unless he/she happens to brush against your uterus. Also, remember that your baby has to sleep, too! When you are alert and active is most likely when your baby is sleeping. Just because you are still doesn't mean he/she is inactive, just that he/she is not against your uterine wall.

Eat something sugary and maybe drink some pop...I know its bad but if your worried enouph maybe this will help. Also you can lay down and play with your tummy. Babys usualy move like that. But it could be normal...baby could be facing the back where you cant realy feel much because he is so small still. Good Luck

You really don't feel that "everyday movement" until around 28 weeks. If you are really worried though I would make an appointment because at least it will put your mind at ease to find out all is well. Don't worry about going in to check on your baby, I did it too, I think we all have. We're mommy's and it's in our nature to worry about our little ones. :)

At 18 weeks it is totally normal to feel the baby move and then not feel it again for days. The baby may be moving but the movements are not quite strong enough yet for all of them to be felt. I remember many of the ladies due the same week as me discussing this. I too was worried enough it was around this time I bought a fetal doppler off ebay for self assurance everything was ok.

If you are that worried and that stressed i would call a Dr to help with your situation. Call and make an appointment and tell them the reasons why and that you need to make sure you are progressing the way you should be at your stage in pregnancy and let it known that you are stressed... Best of Luck!

You need to see your doctor. It is never stupid to have your doctor check to see if your baby is okay.
