mucus plug or extra discharge?

For the past couple of weeks, once in awhile when I get up from bed I`ll go to the bathroom and there will be a very small glob of clear/white stuff on my toilet paper. .I don`t really know if it`s just extra discharge or if I`ve been losing my mucus plug slowly. Has anyone else have had this too?

I'd say discharge. Your mucus plug would appear different.

I have had that too now that im at the end. i dont think its the mucus plug i think just cervix ripening and extra discharge

Usualy the mucus plug has a blood tinge look to it and globby goo like.

that is just extra discharge, nothing you should worry about too much. its normal...oh, one more thing...you might start having this bad odor. good luck! The mucus plug is exactly what it sounds like, MUCUS!

If there are no tiny 'veins' of blood runny through it, no sign of blood at all, then it's just extra funny stuff (aka, pregnancy discharge).

With my daughter when I lost it, it was going in tiny pieces. They had the consisitency of jelly bits. Mine was totally clear though, no blood or brown. True m. plug could be clear, bloody, or brown. If it's snot-like, it's probably just mucous. What you should hope for is the blood or brown--bloody show! However--since you're at 40 weeks, you never know!!!!!! Good luck, I hope it's very very soon!

Your mucus plug looks like a snot, it is probably discharge i know the further along i was the more discharge i got.

I had this too I don't think its your plug. You can lose it in small amounts but its not that colour.

i have been having that. i just didnt want to say it on here cuz i assumed it was normal. its a clear whitish stuff that i see on the TP, its a pretty good amount of it too. i have felt trickling of stuff lately when i sit or stand, and then im finding this thick stuff in my underwear too. im only 24 weeks so i dont think it could be amucus plug. how far are u? if u find out what this is please let me know.

I get that once in a while, I think it's just extra discharge. Your mucus plug looks like a glob of snot (sorry if tmi) so if it's white in color chances are it's just a change in the amount of discharge which is normal and common during pregnancy.:)

i have the same thing. i dont know what that is but i'll ask my mom shes a nurse. im sure its normal.
