i am 20 weeks and the lower part of my stomach hurts, it started on my left, now is on my right, and a lil bit of all over. It feels sore to touch, is this normal?

It does sound like stretching pains, the belly getting bigger to make room for the baby.... take care x

It's painful but very normal. The body stretches and aches to accommodate baby.

very normal. you will feel even more aches and pains as you near the end.

its just your body getting ready for the baby

lady26 - 16 days ago Rating: 5 (1 votes)
Yes, it's perfectly normal your baby is growing so your muscles and ligaments are stretching to accommodate the growing baby. It gets worse the bigger u get.

I forgot to add I bought a belt at a maternity store that helps so much with this pain and discomfort and its AMAZING!!!

I agree with the others - sounds like round ligament pain. I had to get a maternity support belt to help with it, mine was hurting so bad!

It sounds like the ligaments. I had it the worst with my third. Like everything else in your boddy, it is moving and stretching to fit the baby.

Oops question posted twice..

I can't add anymore than the previous too except an increase in ligament pain could mean stretch marks are on their way too. Start slapping flax seed oil on your bump! :0}

i had similar pain when i was prego with my 4th..it hurt while i worked, i thought i was cramping..i was freaked but my doc said it was normal, it was just the stretching of ligaments etc from being pregnant..although i wasnt happy with that answer, i actually quit my job cause by the end of the day, i was hurting pretty bad and sore in my abdomen..you can always mention it to your doc and see what the answer is..better to be on safe side..

Ligament pain. COMPLETELY normal....I freaked out when I first felt it, but honestly.....everyone gets it....it's just your muscles and ligaments stretching and changing because of your uterus getting bigger.
