With my first I was 36 weeks before he engaged. Over a few days I felt deep throbbing and pressure increasing and then one morning noticed my belly bump was lower (and then needing the loo every five minutes is back again too :0). You'll be able to tell by how your belly looks and by the increase in pressure and toilet trips, once your baby has 'dropped'.

I dropped at 36 weeks with my first bub and not at all with my second so its very individual to each pregnancy. I noticed very quickly when DD dropped as I could breathe so much easier and the heartburn decreased markedly.

I've only had one baby, but I never dropped at all. I kept waiting and it never happened. Was very hard to breathe sometimes! I am short though, maybe that had something to do with it?

Sometimes you don't drop right until labor begins I think it's all relative to our body type and baby.

I was 34 weeks with my first one and they say you don't drop until days/hours before labour with your second but i dropped at 37weeks with the second. you just feel heavier and more pressure in the front pelvis area... some actually say they feel lighter though as their diaphagm and lungs are smooched!

My son was so big he never dropped. My daughter I think was down there the whole time. But with neither of them did I notice a signifigant change.

I felt it about 10 days before my due date. It felt as if the head had come down into my pelvis. I went right to labor and delivery because I could hardly walk with the head down like that and I didn't even realize it before I got there but I was having contractions already.

This usually happens at the very end, you will definitely feel it because it will get really heavy just above your pelvis and you'll feel like baby is ready to fall right out lol.

Not everyone can tell if their belly drops. It is usually the last week or two before the baby is born. It all depends on how high the baby is to begin with. I dropped with my first. I couldn't tell as much with my second. I never dropped with my third. She was so big, she had nowhere to drop. She took up every little space she could.
