My initial thought of Hayden is that its a boys name, i loved this name when i was pregnant but we had a girl, Imogen-Grace, but would love to call a boy that, i like it better than Aiden x

It has been used for girls, but it is still a masculine name sometimes used for girls, not a feminine name. Go with Hayden as it is less popular than Aiden (#1 name of last year, I believe)

I don't thing Hayden is too girly, I've only heard of one girl with that name, and she's famous. I do prefer your first choice though, Aiden. You will decide what's right for you, and once your baby has their name, it won't be a problem anymore.

Aiden is very popular right now (just my first thought) and I do think Hayden seems a slight bit girly, but still a nice name.....

My friends husband's name is Hayden, I love the name its still very unique and not a lot of people have it. I know more boys with the name than girls. I would spell it either Hayden or Haydyn for boy. Good luck!

Personally I prefer Aiden, but if you have your heart set on the other than I would definitely think Hayden as the spelling for a boy.

I like your first choice but I think it something to do with me naming my 2nd son Aidan.. I think Hayden would be better than Haiden though..

I don't think Hayden is a girl's name, I think it is masculine sounding and much better suits a boy. I would spell it with the y though because the "ai" way makes it more feminine.

I LOVE any and all Aidan names...Aidan, Jayden, Hayden, Kayden, etc...But..I do think that spelling is important and Haiden looks more girly than Hayden.

what do you like the most? say the name out loud, try calling the child, like say out loud, "Hayden it's time for your bath!" or Aiden, It's time for ur bath!" and see how it sounds, you can also check the baby's initials like my son's are TMEC which does not spell anything but sometimes by chance if ur not careful you can spell something like if ur name was amy sarah smith then it would spell well you know what it would spell! LOL..............I like Hayden for a girl's or boy's name and I like the HAYDEN version. what matter's the most in a name is that you like it, who cares what anyone else thinks or says cuz it's ur baby and they can name thier baby whatever they like when they have one. MY son's name is Tristan and I LOVE his name, everyone said it was a sissy name when I annouced I was naming him that and I was pregnant with him and blah blah blah but I liked it and it's not a sissy name, it's a cool kids name cuz I have a cool baby. LOL

I have never met a girl named Hayden. MMM Hayden Christensen. That is one sexy man boat! Don't do Aiden, every baby boy and his dog is named Aiden these days

I think it sounds masculine. It reminds of that sitcom "Coach" - the main character's name was Hayden.

I don't know about in the US but here in the UK Hayden would definitely be first (and only?) a boy's name. Either spelling is fine but Haiden looks a more masculine spelling to me.

I went to school with a guy named Hayden. I've always primarily thought of Hayden as a male name, possibly because the first person I knew with that name was the guy I grew up going to school with. Either way, it works great for either gender.

The name Hayden can be use for both. It's German meaning Heathen and English meaning Valley with hay but I didnot find Haiden. However, Aiden is a boy name meaning Little fire. Variants like Ayden, Aydan, and Aden, Aiden was the most popular name for boys in the U.S. in 2006.

I think it can go either way, but I do tend to think of Hayden as more of a girl name and Aiden as a boys name.
