i moved my daughter into her crib when she was two months, as she seemed to be too big in the bassinet...she took to it well too.

I would buy a crib. My baby did not like the bassinet so she has been in the crib since she was 1 week old. We just bought the angel care system so we'd feel more comfortabl;e about having her in there.

I think it depends on the size of your baby. A little one could get several months out of the bassinet, a bigger guy might only be comfy for 2-3 months.

I have always had bigger bassinets and babies. Mine grew out of them between 3 & 4 months. Each baby is different. It depends on the size of the bassinet, the size of the baby, and if they can roll over or push up.

My first daughter slept in hers until 7months, she was very tiny though. My other daughter just turned 4mo and I moved her to her crib a few weeks ago, she's quite a bit bigger and needs more room. I think it depends on the baby, some hate bassinets others hate cribs, you never know.

I know friends that have used them for up to 3 months. I would advise you to find a crib soon b/c all babies are different and yours might just be too long for it by month 3. good luck!!

they say that there ment to last until the baby is around 5 months this isnt true at all they grow so fast that people stop using them at around 3.. pushing 4 months old they just grow to fast you could always try him in his cot for a night? see how that goes and see how he settles in it

I must have either the worlds smallest baby or the worlds biggest bassinet... my girl will be 6 months in a couple days and she still sleeps in hers beside my bed. She sits up, but she can't get into a sit by herself. And the sides are pretty high, she can't reach them.

My son was big too, and outgrew the bassinet at 2 months, so I moved him to a crib. My daughter didn't outgrow it till 4 months old. Size and the ability of movement (rolling over,etc... should be your deciding factors. Good luck, sounds like your guy is big and healthy!

Usualy when he starts rolling over or pulling up thats when they can fall out. Some can last until 2/3mos others don't go past a month depends on the size of the baby also.

You will need to move him to a larger bed/cot when he starts to roll or sit up whichever comes first.

Whenever the baby starts rolling over or getting onto their knees. That is normally the best time to switch to something different..

Usually babies outgrow the bassinet pretty quickly. It will of course depend on the size of your baby but generally it's around 3-4 months when they outgrow them and need to be moved to the crib.

I used one with my son and I took him out of it once he started flipping over on his own.. which was around 4 mos I think. Id say it depends on ur child and their progress,if they can flip and make the bassinet move even a tad.... I say take him out for safety reasons
