hello, I am kind of confused here, and hope to get some clarification, My wife had IUI procedure done on Apr 8th, we have seen her HCG go from 89 to 136 on APR 25th, to 236 pm the 29th, now the doctor wants to do a sonogram? my wife has no spotting, no pain, but now I am worried about whats going on, I tell her not to stress, I guess thats my job.. anyways, have you guys encountered anything like this? what are the odds of my wife being truly pregnant? please help and thank you in advance..

You should not be worrying thats very good news if you want a baby. If her HCG level is rising chances are she is pregnant. You should start worry if her HCG level falls. I am 12 wks and I still haven't had any spotting or pain, some women experience implantation bleeding and some don't.

We had our IUI done in early October and at our first test(17 days from IUI) our #'s were good, few days later it went up. We were brought in to confirm with a sono the following week. We're due in less that 7 weeks. Best of luck!

I had IVF done and it is very common to do early sonograms. I had them done at least once a week. Are you planning on going? My hubby did and he got very emotional, I'd swear he cried if it wasn't for that pesky dirt in his eye..riiiight! LOL

Rising HCG is very indicative of pregnancy, and doing a sonogram is nothing to worry about, they're pretty cool. My husband never misses them. Good luck I hope you get to be a daddy soon!

Its normal for the doctor to do a sonogram more common this early with IUI, I wouldn't worry. Congrats & Good luck!!

It sounds like she is pregnant and possible with multiples. Yes if she had her IUI done on the 8th she would be about 20 or 21 days along..

I guess my next question would be if she had her IUI on the 8th she should be about 20 to 21 days pregnant correct?

As long as HCG continues to rise all should be going well. They are probably scheduling the sono just to see how far things have progressed, I wouldn't worry yourself for nothing. Good luck, I hope all goes well for you! ;)

The HCG certainly suggests everything is going well and she is pregnant the sonogram is pretty standard to check the growth rate and implantation. Why are you concerned , has your Ob/gyn suggested there is a problem ?
