I am almost 24 weeks. When does movement get consistent? It seems like I have a few days where he is really active, then a few days where he is really mellow. I stress myself out so bad on the mellow days (even though I have a doppler and the HB is fine). When should movement be consistent? Thanks!

Eat some ice cream. That should make the baby move. It varies from baby to baby. Usually it is between 25 and 28 weeks. The baby will eventually move so much it can keep you up at times. Enjoy every moment of it. You will miss it once they are born.

It always depends on the baby, some are more active than others then some days they are really just mellow and not moving a bunch.

My 1st baby did this and I called the doc and was told not to stress it before 28 weeks. I was told as long as I feel the baby 1 time in the day, then not to worry before that 28 week mark when you start kick counts.

I think as a general rule it's around 28 weeks where you should be feeling movement consistently. I will be 28 weeks tomorrow and my baby still has some days where he is really lazy but I know he's okay because he still gives me enough strong kicks throughout the day that I know he's fine.

Mine didn't get consistent until about 30 weeks... and even now (33 weeks) he still NEVER moves on Sundays, haha. He's so lazy sometimes :)

i felt my first movement at 22 weeks and didnt really start to feel them all the time until around 25 weeks. they say it depends on where your placenta is located. mine is on top of baby so doc to this day says i wont feel as much movement as others do. also, depends on the amount of nerves you have around your abdomen and if there was ever nerve damage

well before i hit 26 weeks i could predict when my little girl would be active..it was so consistent.now its not at all..you should be able to notice the movements and when they happen soon.

Every baby is different and some move alot others dont some during the day some at night - so he/she could move when you are asleep and you may not even now. Relax and take it easy. x

Good luck with your care, I hope it improves! Try not to stress out too much, especially since you do have your doppler. Sometimes baby is more active than others.

Thanks so much ladies. I just tried to call the advice nurse, just for peace of mind, and it turns out there is not one today! I have good insurance, but my care so far has been a joke. So I really appreciate all your comments.

It's sooo normal...There will be days when you are busy while your baby is active or your baby may just have 'lazy' days..If you get worried you can try drinking some juice and lay down for a bit..But all babies are diferent and just might not want to move all the time...

every babys movements are different. Ive heard u can eat or drink something or maybe lay down for awhile and see if he/she moves or ur bundle may move and u not even feel it. BUT rest assure.. as ur baby grows... u'll feel him/her move ALOT! I can recall thinking somedays..." oooo please go to sleep"... but I wouldnt change it for the world :o)

if this is your 1st then it make take longer for u to feel it consistantly. im 24 wks and it never stops, even hurts at times. this is my 2nd so i felt it at 12 wks and consistantly since about 19 or 20 wks.

dont worry!! around 28 weeks is when you need to pay attention to the movements. you need to have at least 10 kicks in a 2 hour period throughout the day

Every mother and baby is different. I started feeling baby more often at night, like Baby3OnWay said. A girl I work with said she never felt her little girl (though I think that is rare). If you are worried one day, try putting music up to your belly, we used our cell phones, and that could get baby moving.

I am 34 weeks now with my 3rd child and I believe that she became very active around 26 weeks or 27 weeks. As long as you here the HB and know that it is fine then everything is okay.

movemant get more consistant over time. Right now its still a little early and although the babe may be kicking you may not feel everyone just yet. ALSO there are sleep times the baby has and I found it was mostly in the day with my first two and then I would feel then all night while trying to sleep. let your self and baby get a bit bigger, for now don't stress yourself, the days will come
