So since my 29th week of pregnancy, i`ve been having contractions but not until today that I have noticed they are getting painful. My stomach gets rock hard and I can barely move.. my little daughter is still so active so i am not too concerned. I had an appointment yesterday with my midwife she meausred me to be 35 weeks instead of 32w and 5d. I am going for an u/s on the 14th i hope they move my dd up.. i don`t know how much longer i can take this.
I am wondering if anyone thinks i am going to have my daughter anytime soon.

You are having braxton hicks contractions. They can feel very real. The only way you can really tell the difference is the timeing. Real ones gets stronger and closer together as time goes by. BH's will go away or slow down if you either lay down or walk around.

I have been contracting since 20 weeks and now i am 28 1/2 weeks long and nothing has changed. I also had the same situation with my first daughter. My doctor called them usless contractions because they did nothing to speed up labor.

I don't know if you will go early, but I have the same thing and I am 34 weeks. We are probably just getting ready to give birth.

I would talk with your doctor. they will probably give you a steroid to speed up the lungs (if they are real contractions) but they sound more like bh.

Braxton Hicks Contractions: Can be very strong and painful at times! They occur more when you are dehydrated as your uterus is actually irritated from the lack of water in your system and contracts in response. IF you have these very frequently, drink water and see if they go away. If they start getting regular and don't go away with a position change, rest or drinking water- go see your midwife immediately. Braxton hicks contractions do train your uterus for labour and prepare baby for the upcoming show. At 33 weeks, you are as you know too early to give birth. I know the last few weeks are tough, but having a newborn is pretty darn hard on your body as well. Enjoy the last few weeks, exercise if you can with yoga, relax and go out for dinner with your partner- know that thisngs will never be the same again if this is your first baby. I will assume it is since you are asking about braxton hicks.

You could be experiencing braxton hicks the little one's that get you ready for the real deal. It may be difficult to tell the difference between Braxton Hicks contractions and real labor contractions. The biggest difference between the two is that real labor contractions will cause cervical dilation and Braxton Hicks contractions will not cause the cervix to dilate. Real labor contractions will get stronger, longer, and closer together. Real labor contractions will not go away when you change positions or rest.

it sounds like braxton hicks to me. If they go away, then you have no problem. I had the same thing. That is why many of us woman go to the hospital and get sent home. Always check with your doctor and if they seem regularly spaced apart and seem to strenghten in pain and duration go to the hospital.

You are likely having Braxton Hicks contractions, OR you are much further along than you thought! Since your body is doing it's best to prepare for the baby, you should as well.

It is possible or they could be Braxton Hicks. I know it is said that Braxton Hicks are not painful, but in my experience, they can be. But either way, you really need to get checked by your doc., it is still too early for you to have your baby, so at this time, if those are real contractions they will need to be stopped. Congrats on your pregnancy and the soon arrival of your sweet baby!

Wow it sounds like you just might be farther along than you thought. I would make sure you have everything ready to go just in case you do end up going early.

they may put you on Tributaline. I have been on it since my 29th week. It really has worked for me, and stops the contractions. As far as if you are gonna go early???man thats up in the air. You can measure bigger and still be only 32ws. Either way i hope it all goes smooth for you :)

you can't really say its coming soon.. or sooner as everyones body is different. i do know that what you are feeling is just the great joys of being pregnant bring. Braxton hicks are sometimes more painful them others but if you get up walking and drink more fkuids it shouldn't be so bad
